Does the albion skunk relate to albiun skunkworks as in a onboard research lab, perhaps organic components u find throughout the x universe.

Albion is a planet in in the game, and in X3:Albion Prelude... which you'd know if you'd paid attention...
Skunk refers to a part of the ships history, a nickname given to the ship by people who knew it's previous owner (Teladi I think), something about it smelling VERY bad in the inside.
The ship's FULL name is "Pride of Albion", you've run into it in the plot of X3:AP if you've played it.
Albion is an ancient name of England (in reference to the White Cliffs of Dover), not sure why they picked it for the planet or the ship but its a nice name. Possibly they picked it due to the ship's white paint scheme.

Skunkworks is a subsidiary of Lockheed-Martin, old Earth, 1000 years in the part according to X-Lore. Plus the Skunk is Commonwealth, not USC.

(Not sure where you got onboard research-lab... plus the Skunks too small for one, and that'd make it pointless for one to own a research station.)
