I was looking for a mod or something to address this and the RIDICULOUS amount of "URV destroyed" messages I get - as the OP says the radar is basically unusable for the majority of the time because some numb-nuts decided that they were going to use the SAME SCREEN for the radar and all the bloody log messages, even though there are other screens in the cockpit that don't get used (Trader cockpit)

I'f I use a few capships with URV's to destroy a complex I can't see any ware containers dropped to tag them, and by the time the 500 bloody URV
messages stop they have all disappeared.

It's beyond stupid.

It's so bad I've banned ALL URV USAGE on all my ships except miners and they only get 10 surface URVs - no combat urv's of any kind, which means I have to give each one at least one escorting capship (because seemingly the devs decided that small fighters spawning in the middle of space with no capships or complexes nearby was logical); which is a bloody waste of ships when it looks like each complex I might build (still only have the vanilla story one for now) will need 3 miners EACH - for ore / silcon / nividium.

Any ships I have capped that have them, I transfer them out, first thing.

SO, do I take the time to cap all the extra escort capships I need, buy them or just cheat them in because I really REALLY can't be arsed to have to do this to overcome the ridiculous log messages spam.

If there are mods to stop this, PLEASE PLEASE tell me where they are.

I tend to cap so much and keep in my first play. my second play I cap and sell them to shipyards and keep 3 destroyer fleet only. I never bothered with URV unless it is to protect construction ships / stations only, never in my assault ships.

Nevermind - It's yet another goddamn mod that's the maker didn't think through - or maybe he's created the perfect "trolling mod"

every time a URV returns to its ship - even MINING URV's collecting ore, the game thinks it's "died" and this mod tells you.
