So where did the JSS even get the Scaldis?

My little trade station group seemed like a good arrangement to try out a Scaldis as a station trader -- something I'd not considered in previous games.

The Scaldis isn't available at the OL shipyards; JSS have some secret/private shipyard somewhere?

Considering AG stuck those (mostly) decorative Olmekron's in DV.MA by the gate, seems maybe JSS would be sending a Lyramekron or at least a Lyranea as a UT.

My guess is: considering OL's very good market for foreign ships, some very ambitious Teladi ordered a bunch of scaldis from gemstone manufacture, then made them do the perilous crossing via fields of opportunity, dodging storms, marauders, xenons and minefields left by an ancient and mysterious (but undoubtedly both felinoid and dub-step loving) civilisation, then sold them in OL for the highest profitsssss.
JSS were the highest biders.

It's just a guess, though.
Yours is as good as mine.

..maybe Borman provides them. IIRC, he's the friend in Albion of the JSS CEO -- also fits in with the vanilla XR w/o DLC. ;)

Its a very good question :)

IIRC, when XR was released the OL faction shared the same ships as the Argon.

This also explains why the capital ship that greats you in the plot when you enter OL for the first time is an Arawn :)

Edit: Is it also a Gigurum in the Campaign CHOW escort mission, rather than a Nyanae?

Nah, it's been changed to a Nyanae.

The Canteran freighter you have to escort in the argon secret missions have also been changed to a mercancias.
