Thanks for consolidating these I was going to mention it after I noticed there was another similar thread.

Do we have any idea if a hotfix would be released this weekend? Egosoft really need to move to a weekly patching routine with the beta for it released mid week (like Rome 2) so we don't have this again in future.

Long term they obviously need the weekends to have a break if this is going to take as much work to get into shape as many ppl think.

It's strange because I'm playing on v.1.16 (since '100 Ecells' quest) and don't had 'Highway crash' on enter, exit or jump-out in the middle. I say more, bug with jump-out from SuperHighway was fixed for me. Now is working for me like that: 'Menu -> crew: Menu -> Return to cockpit' sequence while in highways and I'm immediately at end of trip. On exit point. No crash, no stress. It's also work on normal Highways, maybe it will be workaround for people with crashes on exit.

On a positive note I just did as bufi suggested and after going through five different highways I haven't had a single crash. You Sir have just made my weekend :)

i now also have random crashes while scanning or just flying arround pre 1.16 i had no crashes ( maybe one)

Revert back to 1.15 so that at-least some people can play. Right now absolutely no-one can play.

Ok i know you guys are trying to make a good product and are trying to fix our problems but it seems that your patches are cause alot of problems after they fix simple ones... I have a list of problems.
These are with the up to date patches.

1. Leaving any highway now causes a game crash 95% of the time.

2. When i ask for direction to a ship dealer or fuel not 1 person knows where it is. i asked 4 sector and spent 4 - 5 hours trying to find a ship dealer or fuel dealer. I STILL HAVE NOT FOUND ONE. I'm stuck on the campaign where you need to deliver 300 units of food rations to the terrans station by the sun.

3. The pathfinder ability for ships both mine and AI are terrible. I refuse to do escort missions because the escorted ship would get stuck on another ship or station 99% of the time and i could not get it unstuck even when i used after burners to slam into it to move it. "lol" :cry: :headbang: :skull: :gruebel:

4. Sometimes when I fly between beams on the stations, I get stuck inside the station. About 35% of the time.

5. Boarding operation fail 100% of the time. The only time it ever worked was during the campaign mission to free the heart of Albion prisoners. :skull: :skull: :gruebel: :pirat:

6. Ships that I do have like the construction ship just sit at the trade operation I send them to. They say something like "Preparing to exchange wares." or something equivalent to it i can't remember. *sigh* I sat and watched them dock but they won't send to cargo drones out to retrieve or deliver goods 99.99% of the time. And if I leave the sector to do a mission to kill time (like recommended) the ship still won't do anything. when I come back from the mission the ship isn't docked anymore and still won't complete the trade mission i sent it on. In fact after that they just follow me even if I tell them to leave me squad.

7. Even though I give the ships engineers and money they won't repair the ships AT ALL.

8. When my ships (capital ships mostly) come out of hyper space or fly to my sector they appear there extremely damaged and won't repair. Again i give them money and crews but they don't repair it.

9. My capital ships Constantly tell me they don't have the fuel to get to my location. I tell them to buy fuel but they just keep telling me they don't have enough fuel. :arrow: (very annoyed)

10. If i see a deserted ship that i can claim i fly to it but it won't let me claim it even if I have a pilot with me. I assume i must be doing something wrong here but I'm not sure what.

Again these are the most current ones I can think of off the top of my head. I'm sure there are more but until i can safely fly to other sectors without crashing the game I'm not going to play it and Won't be able to report any other bugs. If You could please see to these major problems it would be most appreciated. I realize this is very stressful for you and for player. When we purchase a product we would like it to be as completely bug free as possible. And I also know you have a time window that you must get your product onto the market. I'm a long time fan but i notice this pattern with your games. :cry: I hope your able to fix these problems quickly and efficiently. I wish you a good day and stay safe. I look forward to playing the game again once these problems have been fixed.

Still getting crashes when leaving highways in 1.17 its always the coming out that causes it and its totaly random can play for an hour no problems or can crash on first highway :o/

I am still having highway exit crash and huge slow down that I was not having before patch 1.16.

For the slow down, I start the game and everything works normal for 1-2 mn, and suddenly everything goes slow and it becomes unplayable.

Yes, as it says in the release notes, we are aware that there is still another cause of highway crashes lurking there somewhere. But based on the feedback we were getting, rather than wait for that less common problem to be fixed, we issued the fix for the more common case as soon as possible.

However CBJ if I never had a highway crash all the way up to v1.15 why am I now having one every other highway jump?

There have been many cases of false positives with people reporting problems "caused" by a patch when in fact the timing of them running into them was coincidental. Right now I can't tell if yours is one of those or not, but as I've already said we are working on the second issue and will be issuing a fix for it as soon as we have one.

@ Starfreeze: I would delete the UIdata.xml file while in-game, save, reload and try again. You could be lugging around a UIdata.xml full of error messages from before 1.17. At least give it a try.

I understand...its just frustrating. Sent 3 crashes to info@egosoft just now so perhaps that'll help ya out. Hoping v1.18 comes out today so I can play.
