Hi X2-Illuminatus well i don't know what you get when you click on the link but as i click on the same link from the other game forums i get the the home page with the download files are on and as i've said not one upload/download errors are noted only a crash will upset it but you go back and try again.
It's this site that i've notice many players having trouble with links, if they work on other sites they should work here so why on nearly all the threads on here have i noticed one or more players saying a link don't work.
Maybe you're right but we can only paste a link that has the info on either it work or not there is some thing wrong with linking on this site.
Ok try this one https://www.dropbox.com/s/y81d8krykzoqov8/MIS.7z?dl=0
It's the last time i am doing this.

Yes, sure, because you are logged in into your profile/account on that site. So of course, all the files in your profile are avaible to you. But that profile is a) not public and b) cannot be accessed without giving the correct address.JESS 246 wrote:Hi X2-Illuminatus well i don't know what you get when you click on the link but as i click on the same link from the other game forums i get the the home page with the download files are on...
That's like telling someone to visit you 'at home' without giving an actual address (country, city, street etc.). Of course, you know where your "home" is, but someone else doesn't, as long as you haven't told him. Or take my previous example with giving a file location on your PC. Entering file://localhost/C:/New into my browser will open said folder on my PC. But that doesn't mean that you, being on another PC, will have access to that folder too.
It's the first time I hear that many players would have trouble with the links here. I tried all the Nexus links from the Mods that are reported as working topic and they all work fine for me.JESS 246 wrote:It's this site that i've notice many players having trouble with links, if they work on other sites they should work here so why on nearly all the threads on here have i noticed one or more players saying a link don't work.
The only problem with nexusmods I am aware of appeared shortly after the release of X Rebirth, when Nexusmods changed something with regards to their download site in January 2014, see this announcement for reference. That was when they changed their site and download link structure, which is why a couple of nexusmod links posted shortly after release of XR didn't work. But then again, that is a problem of nexusmods for changing their link structure and of the mod author for not updating their download links here in the forum. It has nothing to do with how the Egosoft forum or website processes/displays/opens links.
Yes, that link works. Comparing it with your previously posted dropbox link should make the differences clear.JESS 246 wrote:Ok try this one https://www.dropbox.com/s/y81d8krykzoqov8/MIS.7z?dl=0

Greetings!
This is, without a doubt, one of the best mods available for X Rebirth. Turning the flying fortress known as the skunk into a simulation nightmare is delightful. I've been playing a conquest and war game with the airframe extension of the mod deactivated, and I have stumbled across a few game-breaking bugs that I feel I should let you know about. Upon encountering these bugs, I systematically disabled each individual extension that is part of this larger immersion mod to figure out which one is influencing the problems experienced.
First is the Stare Longingly into the Mechanic's Eyes bug. When buying and exchanging your engine for a different one, regardless of what model type it is or whether it is better or not, the buy/sell interface in the game crashes without causing the game itself to crash, causing Ren Otani to stand and remain unresponsive to player input. This only happens when you confirm the purchase. The Flight Control System extension (Flight_Vector_Engines in the extensions folder) seems to be the culprit for this bug, as deactivating/removing the extension from the game will change the problem's behaviour to being non-existent.
Second is the Freeloading Passenger bug. When you accept a passenger transport mission, you can pick up your passenger successfully and take them to the target destination without issue, but if you land at the designated dock, you will gratefully be told to get back onto your ship. From this point forward, your passenger will remain in your ship's cabin, eating all of your rations forever, until they decide to disappear out an airlock or something. Under no circumstances do they ever realise that you docked with the destination, will ever dock with the destination, and they will drink all of your secret space fuel stash that you always say you do not have. The HUD extension appears to be the culprit for this problem, as removing/disabling it also disables the freeloader tendency in your passengers.
Thankfully, disabling these extensions temporarily will also circumvent these problems, so there is a workaround for anyone suffering those problems in-game.
Both of these problems are easily replicated, and I am not sure how or why these specific extensions are causing these types of problems. My apologies if you have already identified and resolved these problems for a future release.
Thank you!
