@Marvin Martian

I am sorry, I have to bring back this problem that I have reported earlier:
Cannot complete special shield/gun missions, and I don't know if this is a XR4.3 bug or a mod bug:

In a previous run, I have both Shield missions at Dormant Bear. After giving the artifact to the mission giver, the next mission is just "Talk to <empty>". So I thought the bug from XR2.x came back (cannot complete shield/gun mission on single-port station) after being fixed in either 3.x or 4.10).

So I restart the game, this time I was careful to choose the mission giver at Lonely Giant which has 2 ports. Same problem, after giving the mission giver the Special Egg collection, the mission is now "Talk To <empty>". I have tried to talk to a mechanic at Lonely Giant, but did not get offered the mk3 Repeater.

I can't believe this bug is not caught in 4.3 testing, so there must be conflict in the codes somewhere. I hope I am wrong!!! or may be the Lonely Giant station/Dormant Bear is not the same station that the vanilla game expects? (In my game, Lonely Giant is not owned by HOA, but some neutral /generic faction with no name).

A temporary solution now is to make the level 5 engine, level 5 shield and the Mk3 Repeater available in a special station somewhere? or show me how to cheat them in in the save game).

i havent read all the posts, maybe where was always there.. but a few bugs from me:

1.if i spoke to an architekt, Capatain and so he answers ever 2 times.
2.if i want upgrade a station the CV move around the Station, the big red Box popped in and the box never diasoears.
they stay also if the construction of the new part is finished and the architekt has nothng to do.
they stay also if i call the captain from the CV to undock from this station..

is there a quick dirty code or cheat to disable the red building box?
The architekt build also if the box are there.. but it loks absolutley hoorroorrbbllee....
I dont want the space full from boxes ^^

I built a HoL Shipyard, but after completion of the first phase (the L module), the CV is still attached to the Shipyard, but it shows as if it is not. When I comm the architect, I don't see the usual extension like in previous versions, but the architect shows a list of __stations__ that can be built.

However, I was able to call the captain, order it to detach from the SY, then re-attach to the SY, but still the Architect does not allow me to build the extensions.

[EDIT] Same problem with the Energy Array I built in Gatekeeper house. (I don't see this problem with the Xenon Matrix I station)

[EDIT#2] If I fall back to the drop dated 20180516, detach the CV, then reattach it, then I don't have this problem.

The red border means that there is space for construction, is occupied by ships or a player.

Sometime the red box stays because there's a freighter cue to unload/load wares or other ships in the in the build area the red box will disappear when they move away.

like the other player said moving out of zone or more than 30.km way will also speed the redbox clearing.

i fly to another sector.. i fly to another system. Came back and the box is still there.

Do you have any other mods installed?

Otherwise, check for anything that is in the red box (asteroid, debris, your own weapon platforms etc....)

Also, normally the CV once attached to the station being built, does not change position,. This may be related to a new bug I reported a few posts back. Revert to the drop dated 5/16/2018, detach and reattach the CV to see if the problem is resolved.

PS: If you don't know how to retrieve the 5/16/18 version from github, I can load the zip file for you to my Google drive.

all other mods are disabled.

i can reprocedure the bug.
It always occurs when you build the 3. extensions of a station.
Part 1 and 2 go without problems. immediately at the start of part 3 comes the red box.
no ships within, except masstraffic, no asteroid nothing.

reproduced with med lab and cell matrix in different sectors.

Edit Update.
I can prevent the bug, if i detach the CV from Station befor i try to build part 3, then replace the architect with an other and re asaign the CV
to the station.
Thats also fixes the double answers from captain and Architect i have before...
....

No problem! I trust Marvin Martian will fix it shortly. We do need the new feature where the player can control which subsystem the Engineer should work on.

Anyone has done salvage with the newest drop?

My salvage ship no longer offer the choice of savage or restore the ship. it sees the ship, but the 2nd options (to salvage or to restore) are greyed out.
Before it allows me to select the ship and then report that it fails the task, but now, it no longer allow me to select it for salvage.

can the problem be that the only dock you have for a salvaged ship is occupied by another ship

actually non of both options are possible if there is now free dock, in an upcomming build the possibility will be in each case to select the repair only option

The salvager ship is empty. There are nothing docked on it

Hi Blackrain & team.

Over the weekend i had to reinstall XR do to some mods updating and stopping my mouse actions working in game.(Yep beets me too)

Now i'm getting these two files "CWiR NewFrontier (LostSectors)" & "CWiR NewFrontier (TO)" showing red and saying something on the lines that they are out of date.

Have had a look for them to no joy, any chance of someone placing a link to them Please.

I have placed this on the CWiR thread but no answers yet, so tiring here.

They are compatibility mods for the Lost Sectors mod and the Teladi Outpost DLC. If you don't have those then you can disable them, if you do then no clue. :)

Hmm is anything wrong with the fighting with battle ships ?

i have order a ship to attak a station, the first run was good, but after the ship is jumped to another place in station range its does not shooting...

flys over or under the station and the station fires as hell, but the ship does nothing .. only fly around .. boosts a little bit.. stops return. flys another way.. but never again shooting to the station.

i have try booth commands, defend or attak in the defense officer settings, nothing helps.

or are thes "hundrets" of new Ships from Omycron Lyrea self bugged ?

seems, that the captain fly his combat route, but the defense officer does nothing.

im dock to my capital ship and try to speak with the Defense officer... he has only the "Carrier" command...
nothing else...

Self with an OlmekronMK2

step 1 shoot down the plutarch ships in sektor was fine..
step 2 nothing.. not attaking the stations. fly around and let them self shoot down and does not fire back.. or only 2-4 weapons fires from the 200..
next step.. my ship stand beside the station.. and call me on help.. and fires not back
all weapans are ready.. shield is over 50%.. and the damm ships does nothing...

ok...

what files do i have to delete to make at least one standard ship against station fight possible again?

because that way it makes absolutely no sense, I can't conquer anything, because the own ships don't want to attack a station but just wait to be shot down without defending themselves. :(

Marvin said earlier in the thread that they are not used/called if the player does not have the DLC/MOD installed, so no worry. I just disable them

Bug Report:

1. If I build a CV while under cover, the ship I built will be owned by ACME (without paying me a penny).
2. If I then board said ship, I will also lose my Marine Officer, because I cannot ask her to come back onboard. (the option is not available).
