Favorite ship from X4 and X3

Hey, I would love to hear what my fellow Egosoft forum members consider their favorite ship from X4 and X3.

For X4, my favorite ship is the Teladi ship: Peregrine Vanguard.

I miss my trusted ATF Vidar (good combination of firepower and maneuverability)


Also ATF Aegir (I was actually never able to get a hold of this one) If I remember correctly its was my favorite looking ship.

X3R: Argon Nova Vanguard

X3AP: Argon Heavy Centaur Prototype

X4: Argon Minotaur Raider or Discoverer Vanguard

X3AP: Kyoto and Shrike
X4: Osprey, Phoenix and Condor- though I wished the Teladi would get their old gritty 80s SciFi look back.

And always the Vanguard variant - them Teladi need all the m/s they can get.

X3... honestly dunno. Style-wise I didn't really like any of them that much. Probably the one I spent the most time flying around was the ol' Nova and Venti though.

X4, gotta be the Pulsar. Basically an Eclipse which trades toughness for speed and MORE GUNS. Nothing like X-Wing style Quad Pulse Mk2, while also having a missile launcher AND torpedo launcher if needed. Not to mention the thing isn't much slower than the new style Nova. I plan on running mostly Novas for fighter wings, but I'll have a wing or two of Pulsars for heavy duty roles and my elite pilots... not to mention my personal wing.

I do really like the new Nova. Feels like a nice lightweight dogfighter.

X3R Mamba Raider. Back before the world and his wife had flame throwers and PBEs the fast Split ships really shined.

X3AP Panther. Great light carrier I spent most of my time in, even when I had bigger ships available.

X4 are Split in the game yet?

Split Tiger, hands down....for when you have to punch way above your weight class.

Centaur Heavy Prototype...for when you get real lucky and find one early. Much firepower, can mount repair lasers.

For X4

The Peregrine Vanguard....2 main guns, 4 turrets, good all around stats and has a slim on-attack profile.

Hard for me with x3 as it's been a while... But a lot of the medium to large Argon ships are really neat. Very industrial.. I mainly judge ships on visuals .

in x4.. I havent played enough to have a full list in my head.. but I'm currently flying a Teladi Falcon and it's actually a great looking ship imo.


I must say though.. my very favourite ship in x3 came with the xtended mod... I dont remember the name but it was a massive Argon ship.. bassically a flying fortress with a ton of turrets.

X3 - Griffon by a country mile.

X4 - Undecided so far, but I've probably spent the most time tooling around in the Guillemot Vanguard. I keep trying other ships with more weapons and such, but the things agility is addicting with the rotating engines.

X3 - Split Panther

X4 - overall Eclipse, model wise Falcon and Callisto (love that Shuttle like design, reminds me Colonial Raptor from BSG).

X3: Definitely the Teladi Shrike - the beloved, ugly, gauss-wielding workhorse of my empire.
X4: Probably the Peregrine. Some of the small ships are alright too. The courier ship has a neat interior, but is rendered irrelevant, since I believe the Mercury costs the same amount, is just as fast, and carries four times as much cargo.
