Current playthrough is 4042 hours, just over 168 days.

Since X4 first launched this is my 3rd long term playthrough, which is a lot shorter than the previous 2 playthroughs.

But no doubt this playthrough is going to be the longest, as I am still waiting on Egosoft solving a very old bug which is preventing my progress in a few main game missions beyond it.

I play through to end game (all possible missions complete along with personal objectives), then like to enjoy the Peace for a long while, doing lots of the smaller randomly generated missions, before I consider a new start. Even then I am reluctant to let go of all that has been achieved

Sad but its just that save. Total so far since X4 Foundations released would be more like 17k .. I love this game series .

~110 hours, got a running wharf and am just about to build a shipyard, after which the only thing left to do for me is all the questlines I've purposefully ignored up until now (so I've got something to do after becoming an economy). This is approaching to the extreme end of my typical playthrough longevity since I tend to get bored rather fast in the endgame as per my answer to the previous poll about which part of the game I enjoy the most. Though I'll definately keep this one going for a while to test out the upcoming 7.0 and Timelines content.

This is my third game (started since CoH release) and this save longest for the all time. Propably I continue this save in Timelines.

I'm at 666 hours (spooky eh?) vanilla since BOR DLC. Have two more terraforming missions to complete but quite frankly, I'm bored. Matrix #9 and Scale Plate Green are still Xenon owned but they do nothing, build nothing and the remaining ships, 1xI and a dozen or so K's just roam about inside their sectors and never come out to play. I have 68 Billion in cash, 4 carrier fleets, 2 shipyards, 3 wharfs inc HQ, 2 megaplexes, around 20 dedicated stations and ownership of Heretic's End. I become owner of 2nd Contact II by default having a shipyard there after conflict between Ant, TRI and TER. I set myself a goal of conquering the TER just for something to do, about to start that soon, but I'm really just waiting for the 7 update hoping it will make the game more fun instead of watching units hopelessly trying to engage with other units at a snails pace. This 'Slow Boating' as it's become known as has totally ruined the game for me and I can't believe it's not been fixed yet. Update 7 will be the last chance, I understand something has been done about the travel drive problem, if all is well I will buy the new DLC else it's probably goodbye from me, sorry..

around 60-100 hours....the game ends for me when i start building my first wharf or finished building it.

At this point money becomes obsolete.

No challenge.
No diplomacy.
No more storry.
nothing to explore.

i could (and eventually did) restrict my gameplay to "goals", which lenghten my playtime e.g. "only using the worst weapons" "only using xyz ships" "only building xyz stations" "only using 1 spec. faction ships"

Already past the 2000 hours in my savegame with about half of it saved by SETA. But still 28/30 for the Trade X-Treme and 25/30 for Combat. Is there any consideration of adjusting the progression there? If I ever manage to finishe these achievements you can officially declare me as ''Reality Deprived''.

I bought the base game and all DLCs when 6.2 was released. Until then, I was playing X3 FL.

The reason for the short time playing the last savegame is not testing but lack of challenge. I found some features in X4 to be very nice (much better than in earlier versions) while some other features make the game too easy and boring for my taste. Hence, I frequently restart, trying different scenarios. For instance, in my previous savegame, which is 13 hours and a half old (Emergence start), I already own 3 Asgards, one carrier, two builders, one resupply ship, 13 frigates/corvettes and 26 fighters, plus some transport ships. All of them were captured but the initial scout ship.

I will keep playing the game. I really like some of its features. Some aspects of combat are wonderful. But I like fighting, piloting myself, not playing a strategy game as a fleet commander.

My current save is at 555 hours and was started in 6.0 Beta 5 - my 3.0 and 4.0 saves were also quite long.
Almost to 2000 hours as per steam though.

I'm at over 200hrs in the current v7.0 beta alone. As someone who generally plays with mods, this is quite the endorsement. I do tend to start again when there's a major update or DLC. I also like to start again to try doing things a different way.

Aww, missed poll. +1000 hours, This is my first playthrough; no intention to restart (because I did not restart X2, X3R, Xbtf, X3TC, or X3AP either).
