Hum, it does not match the X3 M design : you've tought it from XRebirth database when I look into the X3 database.
So we are both right here, so we don't know which ship will have this model in X4

It's going after X Rebirth model. There's a stream video where they have the M targeted and are fighting it.

Here are a couple pictures of the Drill: The first is from the player perspective on the pad, and the second is a size comparison to a Discoverer via the docking hologram.
Actually, the first is more near the top of the ramp that leads down to the pad, so it's a bit off.

Also, looking at the Peregrine here. While it was said to be a bomber, I think it looks more like a gunboat. However, of greater interest are the blue things with numbers on them. I believe them to be the shield generators. In the livestream with the Teladi Falcon, they said it had two shields, being an S ship. From what I could see, it only had two of those blue boxes. So S has two, M appears to have 3 (two one the sides of the Peregrine, one at the top). By that, I'd assume L to have 4, and XL to have 5. However, I could be totally wrong. This is just going on what little we have seen.

This brings to mind the thought that since the shield generators are mounted externally and visibly, perhaps they can be upgraded, like the weapons and engines can. If that is true, then imagine combining shield types, like the ones found in X Rebirth.

I believe the shield gen count is variable from ship to ship, but larger ships have larger generators. So there will be a Shield Mk1 S, M and L version. There was also a mention of smaller, local shield gens for cap ships like in Rebirth. Not sure if that's still in.

There are differences between races, too.
One of the earlier streams mentioned Teladi ships being slower but more shielded than Argon.
Paranid ships seem designed to fit the "fast but fragile" category.

Reading OP I noticed you saw Elite mentioned (I assume in one of the map or GUI shots, right?):

I think there is a hight chance this ship on the pad is Elite - it is for sure not Nova due to different wing and engine configuration:

It also appears that the docking bays and the launch bays are not the same on the Colossus. As we can see, the docking bays are on the lower strut, while inside are what I would believe to be elevators that bring the ships up to the launch bays for faster launches. Props to Egosoft for that detail!

Egosoft twitter account said it is a Nova - maybe the missile variant seen on map screens, especially the bottom part look like a missile launcher.

It does looks like a Condor, but human numbers kinda doesn't fit Teladi.
