lol, that station hole on the Teladi dome is a weird concept.
"You could go left, you could go right. Nah. We invite you to fly through the dome, that's why we installed this hole." How convenient.

The inhabitants need to park somewhere at the end of the day.repatomonor wrote: ↑Wed, 28. Nov 18, 20:57lol, that station hole on the Teladi dome is a weird concept.

How the hell you got that it was an elite I can't understand.
That tricky punster AkenBosch actually dished out a pretty nifty clue when he wrote: "I could reveal informations on that ship, but since it's technically still NDA-covered it could be rather Dangerous."
That just confirmed my guess for me. The reason I thought it was the Elite to begin with was that it was clearly an argon ship (because argon fighters in X4 don't seem to have any consistent visual style shared between them the way paranid and teladi ships do, which is a criticism I have of the art, but that's not relevant to this thread, haha), but we'd already seen the Nova and Discoverer. Given the choice between the Elite and "some ship whose name we've not seen anywhere yet," the Elite seemed far more likely.jasonbarron wrote: ↑Thu, 29. Good job putting that together. What threw me was that ridiculously large hardpoint on the nose hahaishmaeltheforsaken wrote: ↑Thu, 29. Nov 18, 00:20That just confirmed my guess for me. What still throws me off is that it still seems like a "lighter" fighter than the Discoverer (only a single weapon, for example; we haven't seen the Elite next to other fighters, but I don't think its weapon is any larger; rather, the Elite is just SMALL), which makes me curious about how the S ships are categorized, since the old M3/4/5 system doesn't seem to be holding.jasonbarron wrote: ↑Thu, 29. While I liked the industrial look as well, I don't mind the egg-shaped look at all. In fact the Teladi ships were described as egg-shaped in the accompanying novel to X2, so it is pretty okay lore-wise as well.LameFox wrote: ↑Thu, 29. Nov 18, 08:41I'll miss the X3 Teladi capitals. The industrial look seemed more fitting IMO, and mushroom ships seem weirdly disconnected from the visual style of their fighters (which still look nice).
I won't miss all those antennae that poked out the front and acted as an accidental ram though.
