Married People (advice)

Post by Staja Bepon » Mon, 1. Oct 18, 18:00

For all you married people, before the release please make sure you warn your wifes, for about a year you will not be spending anytime with them. I went ahead and warned mine, deep discussion, threw some stuff at me, but finally gave in. But I think things are good now. So just a friendly reminder ahead of time.

I think you should extend this advice to those who are unmarried but who have pets. We don't want to be responsible for all those animals going hungry, now do we?

I have a friend who is a fishing guide (2nd job) for Disney. He gets us in free and we can stay at his house. So I scheduled at 4 day trip (wife and kids) on Nov 16th thru the 20th. Now that's how you smooth things over big-time, she is really happy now.

Clearly you don't know my German Shepherd very well. Whenever her water isn't fresh enough to suit her she picks up the metal bowl, carries it into my office and starts slamming it into my legs and tossing it about the room, making a horrible racket. If I tried to skip out on feeding her I worry she'd eat one of my limbs.

She's an utter sweetheart though.

Wives and husbands usually think of each other as their loyal pets.
Their children think of them as kitchen slave labour and left wing socialist bankers and landlords.

So I've been told. :)

Clearly anyone who is married should seek permission to waste hard earned funds on any game. It's all well and good asking permission to play it but being honest up front and spending money needed to run a family could be pushing it a little. Besides being married is a game of life why would you need to substitute it with a space game I ask myself?

Fortunately as I am now officially a single person again due to unforeseen circumstances, I will be able to indulge whilst many a married person may not have that luxury due to the obvious. But thankfully once I do start playing you will be able to enjoy the game watching my youtube videos so not all lost and you have the bonus of going to bed early after watching and having extra fun...!!! :P

So all in all it's a win, win haha.

It doesn't mater. I'll put the clidren to bed, i'll let my wife sleeping in the couch then i'll play X4 during half of the night. I don't need her permission. :P

Mine supports me before I even told her about the release :) I'm a fulltime caregiver so we see each other a lot each day. But she is awesome and amazing and embraces my hobbies.

I once heard there are certain remote toys ..if EGO would be willing to support those as well I’m sure those problems will be solved.

Sweetie, I just made a billion credits! Sweetie, why you on the kitchen floor soaking wet?

There could be some really bad (or good) impacts on this depending what happens in the game.

Now what we need is external LUA Support.

Why the supported peripheral would be a blast to read, would it not. Sorry it’s just that due to the release I’m on the pinnacle of exitment ...I could not hold the thought

Every year my wife asks me what I would like for my birthday in december, and I always say that I don't know what I would like.

Now I told my wife that I do know what I want this year: a new gfx card for about 199 euros, the NVidia GTX 1050 Ti 4GB.
Because a new spacegame is coming out in november and my current gfx card (ATI Radeon HD 7770 1GB) won't be able to even start the game.

And she agreed.
So she quietly accepted a long gaming period as well :p

I hope I made a good choice.
I don't have many options, befause any other higher card costs a bit more and requires even more power and I'm not sure if my PSU can give more juice.
The GTX 1050TI consumes about the same power as my current card but should be at least twice as fast.
GamePC: 64bit Quad-core i5-3450 @ 3.1GHz, 12GB RAM, nVidia GeForce RTX2070 8GB, 22" LG Full-HD LED-monitor, Windows 7 Home 64bit
