The more I think about it, the more I want an actually DLC or FreeLC focusing on the Kha'ak or Xenon. A plot would be great too. The Aldrin story in X3 was really cool.

I'd gladly pay for full Xenon/Khaak DLC that would add more ships, more economy and Xenon/Khaak gamestart.

would too, and i think X3:R was it that had a Khaak start.... well "start" , you were set to hostile for all people and started in a Khaak M4 , thats that.

while i did like the look of some of the ships in that modpack back in the days, sadly they somehow dont look like Khaak ships (at least most of them). Khaak design in general always was inconsistent from the get go (X2)... Capital ships with their hexagon patterned body that was round, but with metal hexagon pattern (rivetted metal plates of all things) and weird because hexagons dont make a sphere if you dont distort/bend them... vs. fighters that where pure Geometrical forms with very little detail otherwise.
X3 made it worse with introducing the newer ships and stations that only semi decendly fitted.
And it looks like X4 just took the same fighters that still originate from X2 without updating them graphically... They are not the greatest lookers anymore. So i can see why they said "no the capitals are totally beyond acceptable". I expect/hope if we will see more khaak its going to be some expansion, and then with a design rework (hopefully consistent in design and true to their original form in a way that fits together properly).

I know its very difficult with khaak design and their consistency. I tried some stuff designwise, but ultimately you'd have to remake them from scratch if its supposed to be looking like it all belongs together. Did that because i wanted to make a nomadic khaak swarm mod for X3 where you play as khaak and via custom systems you mine ressources by letting big "hive" ships feed on asteroids ( + mobile miners for "catching smaller fish") and are required to move frequently as you eat empty the sectors - so i needed to model new ships that fitted with the rest. Project beached after 3-4 scripters who said they would do stuff, didnt do stuff.

Since XR the Xenon design got the same 'inconsistency treatment' unfortunately (and somehow became more organic looking stuff that would have fitted more with a hivemind insectoid behaviour - except for fighters which stayed true to the lovely toaster design). I hope they can do better for a khaak revamp. Keep the general shape but change the detail level, their materials etc to make more "scifi sense".

well, i nveer player X2 much (i died way to easy in that game) back in the days, but i did play X3 alot, especialy x3R in the beginning (i found way later out that TC existed , something near Ap release since i didnt have steam back then).

but i think the Khaak back than, looked good and fitting. Especially i liked the Destroyer look and Carrier look (maybe thats why later i liked the M6 so much?)

but yes, especially in X:R and now X4 , they look completly off comparred to the other ships. They definitly need some love...^^

It was probably down to them using Win10 and had an update that wiped their designs Capital Ship DB clean.

Some new breath into races, and ship designs are definitely needed. They''re feeling empty and need some luv, not saying I want a Date with a Khaak Queen mind you

if i wouldnt know how WIndows 10 is, i might not belive you, but this one sounds plausible.
And have you ever seen a Khaak? who knows how they look like... (at least i dont remember seeing them, just reading)

bees can make a new Queen if the old one dies, Maybe the Kha'ak just need some time for this. So there could be a plot about them returning.

well... we haven't seen earth in quite a while, who knows what happend back there. Maybe they now have mascots on each station/ship .. we dont know.... we will only know in the far future...

given that people can marry waifu pillows and holograms already in japan, expextations aren't good for the future of earth. Could be that artificial Waifus have overtaken earth since mankind has extinct itself by the lack of offsprings.

well, i cant argue with this, since i usually had a hard time with them when i was in a S ship and they where more than 2... but i might just be a bad pilot.

Think it was a bug, but they didn't shoot at me, just rammed into me. I swear I hear over the comms, "bugger"
