Xenon I killreward ?.
This could use abit of a tweek honestly.
Most missions we run, gives about 150k credits while the more wellpaying missions hovers around 200k+ ,
so i feel a tad underpaid when i kill a Xenon I (XL destroyer) and only get rewarded with 200k credits
when a ship of this size should be considered a grave threat.
Which also brings me to the the power of the Xenon I which seems to have been severely tuned down
compared to X:R where it took several destroyers to kill these beasts, now a single station's defensemodule
can dispatch of a Xenon I i a minute.
They could use a tweek up in firepower and reward for killing them. A Xenon I that is rampaging through
a sector should be considered a threat that needs to be dealt with .
Engaging these ships in a fighter or medium ship should be suicide and a difficult task for a solo destroyer.

I feel we get overpaid for missions at the start, like with our original crappy ship and no reputation we should maybe only get the 25-50k missions. As we gain trading or combat rep get offered the better paying jobs, I dont wanna start the whole x3 comparisons but that is a feature I liked in that. The lockbox ones for 100-250k are a bit easy for the pay. I do agree though if you can take on a tougher ship you should get paid a fair bit more than scanning for a lockbox

When it comes to missionrewards, the amount of credits rewarded should be directly tied to your faction-standing,
but that's a subject for another thread .

In prior games you got 1000 credits for killing a Xenon fighter. Just for comparison
Same for missions etc. There are several "old" players like me who complain that money (and free ships) comes way too easy and it doesn't feel like you reached something. The changed base building also has the same result. You now longer buy a station, ship it to the place and then get a short scene to see it placed there.
X4 you give a build order, move a slider and after a few hours you find out "Oh, its finished".

Yeah but you got anything from 500k to over a million for a K or I, but those could also rip you a new one if you weren't careful.
What else is strange is that i haven't seen a single "defense" mission against Xenon invasion.

I think the main problem is that the missions don't scale at all, neither payment nor difficulty wise.tSpecR wrote: ↑Mon, 17. Early one you repair a few satellites and it's enough for a ship upgrade.
Later on you won't even bother with any job because your ships and factories will earn more in the time it takes to do that mission.
And then there are bugs making some missions impossible or missions paying you 67k for deploying a 100k satelite or paying 100k for delivering 20mil worth of ships

A Xenon K in not capable of damage a single fighter (like our destroyers of course) as well as L and XL ships. It has very few turrets, and no heavy weapons.
I honestly prefere the L and XL ships in Rebirth. Both in design and weaponery.

Agreed.
They, in my opinion, need more than just monetary rewards, they should have special quest chains attached to these rewards. Something like, now that you've proven yourself, here show us what you can do for us. ie. Hunt down a group of Bandits and capture the Leader for imprisonment by boarding and capturing him/her.
