That's odd because one of the devs accidentally mentioned problems they face with the development of the Borons.

Re: Next steps in the evolution of X4: Foundations
I think Bernd said in the recent GameTube (German) video that they still expect DLC2 in 2020 because they've been getting faster. Something like that.

I say the next DLC will connect Albion (all Rebirth sectors). Anyone else want to add their own wild speculation?

Nope - Egosoft said clearly they don't want to work on XR ships or region.
Re: Next steps in the evolution of X4: Foundations
I hope they make it easier for modders to do this, though. I know a couple teams were trying but the shaders have real issues. It would be so sweet to visit those places in X4! They were so much more scenic!

Re: Next steps in the evolution of X4: Foundations
The vanilla game has so many issues still like ALL ships having same “argon” seats, consoles and elevators. ALL stations have same docking spaces with same advertisements. I know, it must stay as #100 on dews priority list, but the thing is still immersion-breaking and hope it will be dealt with.
The menus in UI are still so-so with plenty of sharp angles and pitch-black backgrounds. X3AP had an exemplary good UI aesthetics.
Last, but not least - kha’ak stations are still invincible and keeping fleets away from fighting the xenon.

I'd add that all races have their own style corridor wall but every faction representative use Argon office style with Argon wall.Ynesra_Voles wrote: ↑Wed, 1. Why use a 'Next Steps in the evolution' thread to replicate listed moans about the current game that already have their own extensive threads elsewhere?

To start more discussions about these issues and make a problem more visible.

This thread is not for current problems though, it's about discussing the way the future DLCs and updates will go. Anyway, that's enough derailment from me as well.
@ mr.WHO: Just browse the X4 main forum and Tech Sp forum and you'll see them - end.

Re: Next steps in the evolution of X4: Foundations
I hope, we'll get some news of the next steps of x4 soon. With this, i dont want to suggest talking about what the next dlc is, but how the Devs want to improve/change the regular game with patches, like they did a year ago.
Intel i7 8700, Gtx 1070, 16gb RAM. I think i'm ready for X4. Bring it on, Egosoft!

Re: What is next? Boron or Terran DLC?
Ok, thank you, I hope I don't miss anything, but still I like to know what was egosoft plan after 3.0, surely boron dlc, since playable boron spacecraft wasn't in game.

Re: What is next? Boron or Terran DLC?
I think we all know that the next DLC needs to focus on the Alliance of the Word faction.
