X4 Version 2.0 Beta 4 is now available

With today's first Public Beta for X4 2.0, we are including a number of game balancing changes including:

• Weapon balancing, in particular for capital ship turrets.
• Economy balancing, in particular the profit generated by stations.

While this is not a version that everybody should play with their main savegame (always backup your savegames when trying an X4 beta!), we welcome anyone who is interested to try this version out and give us feedback on the effect it has on their universe, their own economy, and on battle balancing.

Information on how to access the X4 Public Beta, along with details of what it includes, can be found at the top of the X4: Foundations - Public Beta Feedback forum as usual.

Already found the first UI crashing bug in my game XD. Posted it in tech forums...let's hope that gets hotfixed because Im locked out of adjusting my stations settings like that ;)

ALSO HOLY SHIT....I attacked a Xenon K in my fully modded Peregrine and my shields just VANISHED instantly...what a jumpscare...FINALLY! If you have balancing mods enabled I suggest turning em off to test this stuff...They also have more turrets now, don't they?

That sounds amazing. I'm at work at the moment, but how does the turret aim look? Is that fixed up too?

This is awesome, thanks Egosoft!! Looking forward to try it out. Especially Weapon balancing is so much appreciated, and Xenon threat along that.

Btw I don't see mass crew transfer feature in the change log, although it was promised functionality (I am not sure if for 2.0 or 2.5). Any comment on that ? Thanks!!

I just checked the sticky thread at the top of the forum and don't see any reference to it at all, let alone as "promised functionality". I'm sure we'll work on improving it at some point, though.

Fixed ships getting spawned away from ship configuration menu at resupply ships from automatically getting deployables.

If it's in beta now, it will probably be officially released by 1 March. I've planned my annual leave well.

Now to resist the overwhelming temptation of opting into beta...
