How do I shift a docked defence drone ?

Got a defence drone on a Cerberus docking pad (it's directly in front of the cockpit view) & it won't budge,
it's causing the Cerberus's aim to lock on the drone, so I can't aim at enemies,
& it seems to be blocking a Pulsar from undocking (from internal storage).

Can't shift it, I've attacked a K & it doesn't un-dock to help out,
have tried fly-to position in space command - but it doesn't.

Can't see any way to 'drop' a drone, like you can inventory items.

Any ideas ? Would like to undock the Pulsar & get may main gun aim back !

Similar happened to me but on a station, a few docked but didn't disappear and I suspected were blocking limited docking bays. I got into a fighter and blew them up lol. Don't know, but may work the same in your case.

I did try shooting it after teleporting to another ship, but it's protected by the Cerberus's shields,
& the captain says "Why are you shooting at me".

Might have to fall back to an earlier save I guess, & not bother buying any defence drones, so they can't give me this gyp...

Happened to me as well. So I no longer use any frigates.

I've had them stuck in the docking bay and after targeting it used the wing command withdraw from combat to get it to fly away. Can you target the drone and sell it to a wharf using the sell ship command? I've done that with a laser tower. Otherwise strip the cerberus down at a wharf, sell the ship and buy another.

Only way to solve this for me was to sell my cerberus and buy a new ship.

Hi, I had this problem with a drone stuck on the landing pad of a Gorgon Vanguard, nothing would shift it, tried selling it docking other ships, undocking a ship in storage & allowing myself to be attacked etc so ended up going back to an earlier save before it happened and selling all the drones so it couldn't happen again. V2.2 unmodified.

As a by the way, I also noticed that a Gorgon Vanguard can carry two small fighters, one in internal storage and one on the deck, also the Odysseus Vanguard can carry two medium ships, again one in internal storage and one on the deck. As the Odysseus Vanguard apparantly can carry 60 small ships internally I am guesing it could carry 62 in total with two on the deck though I have not tried this as I don't have 60 small ships yet.

Select the drone on the map, then right clic on any shipyard and select SELL the ship.

Problem solved.
The ship should not even be in the same system then the shipyard.

I just select it, then tell wing to withdraw from combat, drone takes off and redocks, going inside fully. No need to sell or blow anything up.
