[Request] Split DLC - Different Production Module Connections

I don't know how far the development of the Split DLC is already or if we get Split Station Modules at all!
However, currently it seems all production modules have their connections on the bottom, it would be nice to have some more variety in that regard.

What do you think?

I fully agree.

I'd like more connection points to be added to the currently existing modules, too.
Humans are deuterostomes, which means that when they develop in the womb the first opening they develop is the anus.
This means that at one point you were nothing but an asshole.

Some people never develop beyond this stage.

I don't think that they could limit that feature to a dlc.

However on top of more connection points, it would be awesome if we could rotate modules on the x axis as well.

Yeah but - you know - while they are already working on it :D
I imagine that remodelling would take a while and be incompatible to existing saves.

Rotating parts on additional axis would be very nice, indeed. (And force them to implement a better rotation system on top of that :P)

The split production modules are not yet made.
Adding more connecions to the existing modules would be a time sink and is out of scope for the small team we have :(

cant you just make that we can connect everything in every direction, nothing has to be added
Fixed ships getting spawned away from ship configuration menu at resupply ships from automatically getting deployables.

A lot has to be added.

A minimum of 10 additional connection points (5 at each end) would mean the complete graphical overhaul of every production module there is.

The X-axis rotation option however doesn't add any additional graphical redesigns ..
we'd just be able to have them upside down UNDER things instead of always ontop
or sideways pointing up/down

Thinking it over .. the rotation option wins

Well, we still have the option to place them freely, without using the connectors, I guess...
That alone gives pretty much infinite possibilities, so I guess it's not that bad. :wink:
