Disabling Win 10 Fullscreen display optimizations, help performance?

Hey.

Just wondered if this actually did make my game smoother or not but i was lookin at some person on a diff forum say he had low fps and someone mentioned (see title) and thought id try it on x4. I think it might have made it a bit smoother and less prone to fps drops but i cant be sure. Has anyone tried it and thought it was better with it off? Suppose to actually help performance but the web says mixed results and can in some cases give worse performance during gaming. So.. If anyone wanted to try it you basically.

Right-click the x4.exe >> Properties >> Compatibility tab & Check "Disable full-screen optimizations"

Any devs wana chime on the subject? Either why to keep it unticked or ticked?

I run it in borderless window mode, and I never get any lag. It only acts up at all if I turn on SETA. It seems to be an improvement over fullscreen.

Bin trying Borderless my self and to be honest id seams to makeing more smoth for me
