Will we have HQ relocation in 3.0?
In the roadmap there is a note about it, but it written in such way that that it seem not certain for 3.0:

I really hope so, its one of the things im waiting for to actually begin to play the game properly - rather than this 'wait for the next patch and test' cycle. Its important to be able to chose where the hq is imo.

little prediction, its going to br tied to research and its going to cost some antimatter cells
Fixed ships getting spawned away from ship configuration menu at resupply ships from automatically getting deployables.

...and in the changelog, it's going to be stated as available, but in truth it'd be possible to research, but not actually relocate, and "will be fixed in upcoming build"

Ooooh, similar to the Xenon Hub in X3, you can teleport your entire HQ anytime anywhere? That sounds cool

I must admit that this HQ is not very well placed. But I don't want such a feature if it is not linked to a good story and to real player efforts. Clearly "pay one hundred of cells and wait for 10min research" would be no fun. I like to have the HQ at low cost at game start, as it is, with a good story. I got a little frustrated by the very low time to fill the whole research tree. To have the HQ in this location is also a good challenge. Being able to teleport it too easily would be a fun spoiler.
I hope Egosoft team, if they allow this, will well balance that feature.

There is a mod that moves the PHQ but it can potentially cause corrupted savegames...
