Admirals Chair

Post by lplates » Sat, 28. Nov 20, 22:46

I’m spending a lot of time on Capital Ship bridges, watching all the new content introduced recently.

How about somewhere for us Fleet Admirals to sit?

Feel free to consider this a Feature Request and move as appropriate

lol I often wondered why I could not sit in the other chair. But then again better to not be a capital ship captain/pilot having to stand all the time.

Your crew should also say something like "captain on the bridge" when you enter the room like on Star Trek :D

I thought the captain was supposed to use the name of the ship for such announcement purposes. (Mind you that could perhaps be embarrassing in some cases.)

1. "Pink Butterfly on the bridge."
2. "AT L Cont OM 5J on the bridge."

Perhaps just stick to 'Admiral'.

+1
I approve this message

Sitting in one of the empty seats while the pilot flies would be wonderful; and have HUD info displayed for informational purposes. If a bridge has no seats, standing at a console viewing HUD info would work too.

Only losers sit on admiral's chair.

True badasses sits on:
- captains console
- protruding window glass on Argon capships
- in that huge flat space in front of split bridge

Big +1 from me.

Though, since I'm doing the Split start, I think I'd prefer something more like the setup the guitar guy from Mad Max: Fury Road had on the front of my Rattlesnake...

You could have a second location in the ship, a CIC/Combat Information Center, that could provide expanded fleet controls on capital warships. It could scratch the itch some people have for additional locations on large ships besides the cockpit and docks.

I will second the desire for a heavy metal theme and pyrotechnics when flying my fleet of Rattlers toward a Xenon I. It could be an easter egg, like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fN1M-A47GUw
