Re: The 'sail' on the Terran carrier
I would prefer it without the sail.
The rest of the Terran designs looks superb though.

I think that’s the auxiliary, but it’s possible the Yaki might have a variant? It would be a fun play on the pirate ships of old. I like it though
We don’t know what paradise is like, but probably it’s blue magenta, flecked with pink. But even if it’s green and red-checked we should make the most of it. -Boron saying

If it suddenly lit up with advertising for pizza or cookies then I might smell a visual joke from lino.
It could be problematic for the hull turrets looking to one side.

Re: The 'sail' on the Terran carrier
I think this is an Auxilary ship and the solar sail is perfect for it (as long as it pasively produce Energy Cells for resupply).

Also at 2:06, the ship we have been seeing a lot of is in center frame. It looks like it has some sort of solar sail as well. The lighting isn’t good though

Like the Paranied ship with the foot underneath... you will always get stuck somewhere.
Re: The 'sail' on the Terran carrier
I like it, even if I think that it should not be on a military ship .

IMO this could've been extended even more to make it not "that" outstanding to the rest of the ships design. You know some smaller ones or something like that. Artist: You went that way, then go full in

Re: The 'sail' on the Terran carrier
Perhaps its some kind of special ship with mobile production? If its not a special case then ide maybe think that those are radiators rather than solar panels.
Re: The 'sail' on the Terran carrier
My fisrt thought was a Luxury Yacht like Hyperion from X3.
However, seeing it share design similarities with Tokyo, has two M-size dock (while Tokyo has one) and Energy Cells are common resource for most of resupply things, it makes sence that this is an Auxilary ship.
The only question is if sail is a decoration, or is it actually produce ECells? Would be nice add on if it in fact produce them, which would make it superior to other Auxilary ships.

Re: The 'sail' on the Terran carrier
I can't remember who told this (pretty sure that he was Bernd) and in which stream it has been told, but it was explained that the technology of terran's ships was mainly based on how they evacuate/dissipate heat so terran's ships are able to dissipate weapons heat much more than other races that provide them a better DPS than others.
So this sail should better be seen as a radiator instead of a solar panel.
This is a commonly used technology on actual space ships/stations/probes. For instance, the largest panels on the ISS are radiators.

Re: The 'sail' on the Terran carrier
Very beautiful, that sail, although not sure for what it is used lore-wise. Maybe solar cells. Probably not solar winds.
Re: The 'sail' on the Terran carrier
Huge solar Sail doesn't fit the combat ship and auxilary ship doesn't need good combat performance.
Re: The 'sail' on the Terran carrier
That's def not the carrier. The nose on the carrier is much wider and the ring protrudes from the starboard side of the ship.

Re: The 'sail' on the Terran carrier
A sail? Seriously? I'd say it is a solar clock, not a ship... the same way the Paranid Ships are hairdryers for having the long keel...
