Maybe I'm misremembering (wouldn't shock me tbh), but I seem to recall there was a way to turn off or fine tune snap points while building. Trying to build a large station and having the module try to snap to other modules kilometers away from where your mouse pointer is can be quite frustrating And if it is a multilayered station that just compounds the problem.
Looking in the control buttons in game and a few google searches show nothing. Is there a way to do it, or am I just misremembering?

Re: Stations snap points while building question.
As far as I know there is no switch off snapping in the build screen.
It would be so useful if there were snap Off. function.
Tip : If snapping is taking charge of your build. Put sacrificial Long modules on the problematic snap points. I know you then have to go round and delete them latter , but its the only way I have found to keep the snapping under control.

Hold down CTRL key while moving module to keep it from snapping.
