New chapters such as Split Vendetta - Explained.

If I buy a new chapter such as Split Vendetta do you carry on with all your assets such as ships and credits or do you have to start again.

new chapters/DLCs are compactibile with you active save game, the content is simply unlocked/added to your game when you load the save.
