Casino Research - Scan Terran Habitation Module

I don't seem to be able to get this to "trip" to advance the quest.

My assumptions: This means "Terran Living Quarters"

I fly around with my scanner on.. have traversed the entire distance, flown to the center, toggled it.. started at another module and flown towards it.. the quest doesn't seem to advance.

Modded: Yes, with "More Ship Rooms" :) (Don't judge me :))

Any ideas?

I had the same thing happen. Doing other stuff and trying again later in a different sector with a different station worked in the end.

Does the objective change / point that you would need dock to station and go to "bar" in that station?
As there can be 3 kind of tasks if I remember right - scan module, scan data leak in habitation module and visit in the station (bar).

For me it clearly pointed where to go if it was data leak.

It most certainly can not be a Terran module for one simple reason:

The Research is independent of DLC's, so it has to be one of the ARG/ANT, TEL/MIN or, usually, PAR/HOP...

This mission is dynamic - if player have Split Vandetta and/or Cradle them are detected and mission requires also those habitation modules scanning.
If DLC is not enabled then no scanning is required for that race / faction.

.. Wait ...

Do you think it has to be a DISCOVERY? At this point in the game i've mapped out most of the stations. I wonder if it only works if its a fresh module discovery of a station you haven't fully scanned?

I think it should not matter if you already know the station or not.
You could try Pioneers station if that gives any better result compared to Terran station as they both have same habitation module in use.

That did it! Thank you very much! Snagged one from a Pioneers MRE Packing Facility!

(On a more humorous note, I tried building one on a station i had.. when i went to scan it Bo said "I suggest you do not investigate your own employees" :)

I was thinking that first buying a BP and build one would simply be overdone, so I stood across the representative and almost bought one, but it made me think, a small, medium or large.... was not logical. So, I did not do this and went on scanning instead.

Thanks all... Gonna find that PIO plant now.

It seems that some modules are in every race, yet, they don't show up at stations (not all, some of them) and this habitat module, looks virtually the same, but can't find any of them.

I eventually found it at another plant, I tried 3 other and finally the message changed into 'go to the bar' where a device is planted while talking (actually asking nothing here) to a member of that race, and eventually a monitoring device is planted. :D
Ps. Computers can make errors, they are made and programmed by error-making humans. :D
