[6.20] Repairs require no resources
When repairing my ships at my shipyards, it lists that it requires some amount of hull parts and energy cells to make the repairs. But when the ship is repaired at the wharf, it does not actually use those materials, I watch the amounts very carefully and it does not change either before or after the repair. I think that either the repairs should actually cost resources (my preference), or the listed cost or repairs in the upgrade/repair screen should be removed.

This. for consistency. After all, repairs with your suit laser also require no resources.

I'd much prefer it if all repairs, including self-repair, costed hull parts. It could be a very low amount, say:Imperial Good wrote: ↑Sun, 24. Mar 24, 05:32Neither do self-repairs of L or XL ships. Admitting you have a problem is the first step in figuring out how to make it worse.

I'm okay with the self-repair that comes from skilled crew not costing resources, because it happens very slowly over time, and never gets back up to 100%. Also okay with the repair laser being free. I just think the instant repair that happens either at shipyards, eq docks or carriers should cost resources. Not the full cost of the ship, but at least a small fraction of the original cost in terms of resources.
