Steam achievement - Ship collecton doesn't work.

I think I have read that if you sell ships some counter may go negative, thus preventing this achievement from unlocking.
I currently have 20 ships (and had some more, but sold them) and the same achievement on GOG is still locked for me, too.

Yea to get the achievement I had to start a new character and not sell/destray ANY of my owned ships.


IF you are filthy rich you can also just BUY whatever you are in the negative (let's say -200) and just buy 220 ships...once you got the achievement you can just reload. But yes, it is a bug.

Hi all,

I know that in the scheme of things this is pretty minor, but I thought I'd bring it up anyway.
As the title says, "Ship Collection" is not triggering for me.

Last count I had was 41 ships in my "collection". These were acquired through various channels (claiming, boarding), but mostly bought.
But my counter on Steams seems to be stuck at 9/20 ships since forever...

Any insights?

That would be my guess as well.
From time to time I start the game with a shortcut and steam doesn't always connect the chat and "online" part. So still working through this one as well.

I use GOG version and it does not matter how I launch it (via client or desktop shortcut). Sometimes game register achievements, sometimes not.

I started new game specifically to get achievements and load it ONLY when they working.
Good indicator is an “unworthy entrepreneur” start (naturally requires “this is not a moon” achievement). If it present in “start new game” list - achievements will work for that session. If there only 3 starts - achievements will not register even if their conditions are met.
