Capital ships are unable to use the superhighway?

I bought a destroyer and it's the funny shaped one from the paranids and I can't seem to get it to connect with the superhighway, are capitals restricted to travel speed system navigation?

Yeah funny (L/XL) ships are not allowed on the "Highway", but they can use the "Super-Highway" (red and blue gate to another sector(-part)).
