Despite I have set it to 'Escape' my traders always comply and drop illegal cargo.
Is there any other way to avoid cargo looses when police is scanning a trader?

Check the trader is set to escape. Orders such as police compliance can be set on a per ship basis, overriding the default set in player tab, on the ship's information order tab.

Nah, I just encountered the same. My global orders are set to "Comply", but for my illegal trader it's set to "Escape". She still dumped cargo.

He's just being pedantic, err... thorough. It's useful to exhaust all possible reasons before deeming something an issue, at least in this subforum. I've already confirmed the issue, now all that remains is wait for a fix or dev feedback.
