Problem with saving
There are times when I just cannot save my game. Quick save doesn't work and the "Save game" from settings would be greyed out.

You are going to have to tell us lot more information than that because other players are not seeing that issue.

I've seen this issue when communicating very rapidly to a captain to give them semminars, somehow their communicating window gets stuck (so I see them constantly in my screen) and there you gave save greyd out.
I often manage to solve it teleporting to another ship and/switching views of other ships objects (F2, F3 and such) , can't remember the exact method. To the @op, try this and see if you manage.

That issue was (hopefully) fixed in 3.20. Without more information from the OP, however, we don't know whether it is in any way related to the problem they were having.
