Escape Plan Part 3 Bug [plus AI boarding pod issue]

Hi there I've been searching all over the internet for a solution but so far only seen one person with the exact issue like this

During "escape plan part 3" playing a vanilla 3.30 English version of the game and the split vendetta start

I've found that the ship that spawns just sits there and doesn't move I have tried many things to move the ship but to no avail including damaging the ship till it turns hostile but this never occurs.
Flying back to PHQ and landing has no effect either as the story event not triggered and no enemy ships had spawned

If I destroy the ship and another spawns depending on the type of transport spawned it either sits waiting or just flys in a large circle. If I can comm them and ask them to drop cargo they will land on the nearest station and just wait there also.

not sure if it's related but claiming a ship using AI boarding pods also doesn't work they fly around a bit before just stopping then it's impossible to retrieve them in any way.

I have played X4 for some time and the previous two starts in 3.00 and 3.20 respectively I had no issues doing this section of the mission or claiming ships.

I have already run steam verification to see if this was causing an issue.

I have not changed anything on my system since the previous two starts apart from updating the game to 3.30.

Thanks but please use different threads for different issues as only one specialist dev is likely to flag and monitor each thread here.

The best way to have a dev investigate an issue is to provide a link to a vanilla save showing the issue along with any detailed steps needed to be taken after loading the save.

Regarding your 'escape plan' issue, I think that is similar to this thread which had no save and so no resolution.

Hi thanks alan, sorry about adding the two issues however I wasnt sure if there was a link between them as I tried to board the cerberus in the system just before reaching the ship spawn.
the main issue is the stuck ship spawn as this has halted the main quest.
I deleted and reinstalled the game on steam just to see if this helped.... unfortunately not.

If it is the abandoned Cerberus from the plot then you don't need to board it. Just get suited up near it, scan the dataleak and it's yours without further damage or equipment losses caused by a clumsy marine. The same for all abandoned/bailed M ships.

yes i did use the space suit and claim the ship in the end. like i explained the main issue is that the demeter that spawned for the quest line is stuck in Flying/Wait command and I am unable to fix this no matter what i have attempted including destroying the ship.. as the newly spawned ship either sits in wait mode or just flys in a cirlcle

Thanks, the devs will have to check your save for clues on that one. I was just commenting on your other issue.

thanks, alan I appreciate the help. yer the AI boarding pods dont seem to like the abandoned ships that are pre-spawned but suiting up is find to fix that . :D
