Science Module Getting downgraded (gambreaking bug)

Modified (limited mods just one for signal finding and money management)
The Accomplished Scientist

After having loaded a saved plan for my PHQ to bring a design i had for a shipyard into this game it deconstructs the central research module and rebuilds an unknown module (which is unable to be reverted due to how restricted editing of the central module is) this causes the science room itself to disappear out of existence so i can no longer continue the game's story.

No changes to the game were made prior to this

Just upload files to a hosting service such as DropBox or Google Drive, as explained in the sticky thread at the top of the forum.

We'll probably need a savegame as well, though the fact that your game is modified may make it impossible to check. Indeed how "limited" your mods are is a bit of a moot point as we have no idea what they are doing or whether they've had an effect on this situation in the game.

i doubt its anything to do with the mods as i've seen 3 other posts about this bug with people doing same thing as i xD just nobody knows ya have to come find this old forum to report it

Just some related background. The central PHQ module always was called 'unknown module' in vanilla. Previous issues relating to the science room going missing were mainly when players using the added Young Scientist game start removed the originally-supplied PHQ dock in favour of some other type of dock as the original dock and science room were interlinked, but I believe that that specific issue at least was fixed in later builds.

yeah when starting a new game as the science one it is the 'research module' not unknown one, i assumed that the change was just from the moment you drop off Bosa Ta and his room is added to it, i dont have any cheaty stuff to quickly replicate this as a bug tho xD

Heh, maybe then the later fix I mentioned was to link the science room to the central module rather than to the dock. That would also explain the resurgence of this issue when build plans somehow change or rebuild the central module.

i just wanna be able to continue the story xD by time i noticed it was gone i didn't have a save from before so can't go chat to dan :P
