GOG edition, accomplished scientist game start missing?
I have both the Steam version and to support devs, also bought the GOG version.. However in the GOG version, the accomplished scientist game start does not appear... Any ideas or solutions to this?
Take it light.....

Re: GOG edition, accomplished scientist game start missing?
Its a long time ago since I did a new game start, but I only have the GOG version of the game and have seen Accomplished Scientist being offered as an option.
I cant remember but isn't it a game start that needs to be unlocked?

Just found the following in my UserData.xml (My documents\Egosoft\X4\userdata.xml)
So it looks like it needs to be unlocked
Maybe Steam installation of the game puts that file somewhere else the GOG version cant find?, and so if you have unlocked the game start before in Steam, then the GOG version is not finding it?. Just a couple of wild guesses, I would imagine though that both versions of the game would put that file in the same place, ie your windows username\documents\Egosoft\X4\.
Code: Select all
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<root>
<unlock_x4gamestart_trade>1</unlock_x4gamestart_trade>
<unlock_x4gamestart_scientist>1</unlock_x4gamestart_scientist>
