Why should I play a game that quits whenever it tries to autosave. I have to restart my computer or the game won't load, then to make things worse all progress is lost.
It really sucks to have to start the night all over, after an hour of playing.
This all started with the last update. and yes my drivers the most up to date available from Nvidia
I guess I'll go back to playing ED!

I assume you use Steam.
I've had cases where the game stopped abruptly (or I stop X4 abruptly -with Alt-F4-), and Steam doesn't notice.
With the Task Manager you can see X4.exe active as a subtask of Steam.
Kill Steam, and you can restart X4.

We'd be more than happy to try and help solve your problem, but you've not provided any of the information requested at the top of the forum so we don't have enough information to offer any kind of relevant advice. Please bear in mind that this isn't something that has been reported as a problem by other players, so giving us information about your system to see what's different about it is going to be pretty much essential.
