v3.30 Fight Rank Boarding Count

v3.30 (416228) English Unmodified Spear of the Patriarch (I believe) start

I made a post in the past about Ship Boarding. I would save the game in XML to see what I was at for the Boarding counter since I am working on the X-Treme Achievements and wanted an idea what my Boarding count was. I guess I need clarification of what will tick up that counter.

Three ways I see one can currently Board another ship;
1.) Boarding with Ships you aren't flying
2.) Boarding with Ships you aren't flying and a Ship you are flying
3.) Boarding with a Ship you are flying

I have tested the first one a few times and can't seem to trigger the Ship Boarding count at all. So instead of looking at the count, I started to look at the rank points at the bottom of the stats in the save file. In two different tests, I didn't see the points increase by the 100 points the game files show for rank point increases. I compared the points at three different parts;

1.) Before Boarding Command given
2.) During Boarding Command
3.) After Boarding Command Success

The points might be going up because my stuff kills things around the map, but during the 3-5 minutes with the boarding, it doesn't go up 100 points.

During these test, this is the order I will command my Transport Ships;

1.) Find a target and strip it from defense and engines
2.) Command my Transports to follow the target while scanning target
3.) Once all Transports are around target, will order the boarding
4.) Will wait until all boarding pods are lunched
5.) Send Transports to load up on service crew
6.) Once service crew is loaded, send Transports back to target
7.) Once target is under my control, swap marines with service crew
8.) Promote best Captain and send ship to get repaired or sold

So need clarification on these points;
1.) What way do I need to do the boarding with my ships?
2.) At what point would the count tick up after boarding was successful?
3.) Do I need my ships to stay in the boarding command to count the boarding even if my Marines are fighting?

If I am doing everything right, is this a bug that the boarding isn't being counted to the Fighting Rank?

Even with a few more tests. I can't seem to find a way to trigger these two;

<stat id="ships_boarded" value="0"/>

I even added marines from my own ship with the transport ships.

I been boarding Scale Plate, Fallen Families, Argon, and Antigone ships. Destroyers and Builders, but doesn't seem to matter. Can anyone validate in their saves if they had those two stats?

Only reason I care is boarding is supposed to be the fastest way to get Fighting Rank, but can't seem to trigger them. Thanks for the help everyone.

It should be doing the activity itself that potentially increases skills (triggers an RNG test) and player ranking and not the in-game stats which are indeed broken for some of those categories. Link.

Yeah, I posted that one 6 months ago and was hoping it was being looked at or fixed since. Main reason cause of the amount of time needed to get to extreme fighting rank even after the point decrease in one of the updates.
