v4.00 Turret Issues

v4.00 (434806) English Unmodified Spear of the Patriarch Start

The Turrets are aiming in the center of the L and XL Maintenance Bays and Fabrication Bays. This causes them to not hit those Modules. Is there a way to have them target those Modules in a different location like the connection point?

Another thing with Turrets is they target the closest Module for stations even if there is something in there way. Is there a way to have them target the next closest Module that they can actually shoot at?

We're aware that certain modules, especially those with holes in the middle, are hard for turrets to aim at at the moment. We're working on finding a solution, but it's not a trivial problem to solve without significant performance cost.

A fix couild be, if relevant modules have fixed spots, where turrets aim too. For example with these X/XL wharf modules, it could be the connection point as fixed spot, regardless if the line of sight is blocked or not. In addition, to fix this line of sight issue, debris should be destroyable aswell, so if a module is blocked by another module, the turrets may aim to the blocked module and will destroy the debris sooner or later.

This also happens with Khaak installations, ships are shooting at empty space in the center, not at triangle-module-things.

Yes, the Kha'ak stations are actually our primary scenario for this.
