BUG 6.20 Captured Astrids teleport out of Leap of Faith - modified game

Hi,

I have a weird situation, I've been unable to find a workaround on the web so I thought I'd post it here.
After the Twins put a bounty on me I ended them and took both their ships, while we were still at the alien trashcan of profit.
I was fairly quick about this, so I guess I broke something, because now both of the ships will despawn out of Leap Of Faith when they leave IS range (or some such) and spawn at the Casino and Tidebreak with Protect orders, which I'm assuming is what they'd usually do, were their previous owners not fertilizer.

This is rather annoying, as the war with VIG is expensive so I like using them for their condensate holds.

I even tried bringing them into the system with an Atlas E, this worked to get both of them loaded up but only on the condition that I go with them so they stay IS. It fails when I send them to use their quick drives to collect and return, which is what I'd like.

1) You guys interested in the save? It's about 800M. Mods are kuertee_friendly_fire_tweaks, apologizeforattack, so in theory nothing that should influence this.
2) I found a workaround and I'd like to share it and ask for feedback: In the save game, replace the ship ID's in the $TwinShip1 and $TwinShip2 variables with something else. I let them have 2 random Kyds. Will this cause any heartache?

Unfortunately we can't really help with modified games. Whether or not the mods you are using should affect this issue, we can't spend time examining those mods and all their possible side effects to see whether they might actually be the cause.

If you can reproduce the issue in an unmodified game then we'd certainly be interested in a savegame, along with the other information requested in the very first thread at the top of the forum.

Fair enough. As I said I've dealt with it, so it's more about reporting the issue for me, and maybe getting someone to say "ah yeah known issue that happens when [...]".
Sadly the last unmodified save is from before I added DLCs so reproducing this is a huge pain in my case.

The info I missed (sorry, I'm a very new customer, I searched and read the boards but it's just a lot):

- Version and language 6.20 511811 GOG English
- "The Young Gun", started without DLCs, added DLCs midgame as Foundations gets a little stale at that point, Paranid storyline at the fleet building step (lack of funds).
- The only other change is that I set SCA to +30 in the save as an opt-out of that profoundly anti-fun mechanic (in the context of escorts being unable to stick close enough to the medium traders and any other policing action turning this great game to a very lame turn-based whack-a-mole).

No, that change won’t break anything since rest of quest md script will run correctly.

Fix for original issue would be to modify mission md file to only teleport Astrids if they are not under player control. Currently there’s no check for that.
