Under licences the 3rd and 4th line are spelt the US way (license and not licence) as in the UK way.

If you want +30 rep with the factions search for, in this example Argon

below this will be something similar to this

<booster faction="player" relation="0.02458" time="1445450.213"/>
Your relation= will be slightly different. Just change this to relation="1"
so the line looks like this

Keep searching for the other factions you wish to change.

I don't know if it works with any of the pirate factions and I don't think it helps with licences.

I wouldn't edit relations in that manner personally.

Add relations for player like the first line in my snippet if it doesn't exist already for whatever faction. Edit or add relations as above. I wouldn't touch the booster for relations as it's usually on a timer and temporary. It won't always exist either in every save except for what I posted above. Relations do help with licenses but bumping yourself from no or low relations to +30 will not trigger the events to be labeled as hero of argon or the like. You can bump it up right up to +9.9 before +10, for example, to gain that quest quicker and more easily. You will have to do the same thing for each level of those missions for them to trigger (+19 etc). Relations are always at the beginning of every save so searching isn't necessary. Kind of neat seeing new people find things that have been around since XR possibly X3 or before though. Good seeing newer players IMO.
