Finally managed to get it all up and running, and gotta say early impressions is awesome!!!! Capital ships and their guns feel right now, im just kinda lost in all the different weps right now haha

Also do the Split have there own version of M/MA? seeing every race has it but aint seen it, im just very OCD when getting things to match everything and that gun acts like an artillery battery which is always great fun

Hmmm i noticed strange behaviour from escorting destroyers, before i played the base game with little mods and when i had say a carrier attack with destroyers as its attack wings, the destroyers would go straight to the target and attack, now im testing the same thing with both the raptor and battleship, they would go straight to the target to attack but the destroyers would turn around and fly off far away, then maybe turn around and go to the target

I noticed that too when I had 12 destroyers, some would fly away in the opposite direction far away and slowly fly to the station, dont know if its vanilla thing but then again didn't see anyone reporting it

and its totally random and not that often, weird
Fixed ships getting spawned away from ship configuration menu at resupply ships from automatically getting deployables.

it does not and probably never will, it could be the AI has some quirks with change to ranges and stuff VRO does

yeah my 1st thought, but other capital ships i tested so far work great

Edit: testing rattlesnakes as unasigned ships and they pretty much fly and attack targets as normal, there main issue is when as a sub for another ship

Edit 2: strange, seeing my game was a fresh install i never changed the map filters, as soon as i did it so i cant see all my ships orders they seem to be working fine now, weird

It may happen as battleships dont have main weapons, but destroyers do and in latest versions they tend to keep on max range of their main battery, this also heavily depends on pilot level.

It may happen as battleships dont have main weapons, but destroyers do and in latest versions they tend to keep on max range of their main battery, this also heavily depends on pilot level.
Well tried my original test, when engaging a target from far away the destroyers fly maybe 100km + in the opisute direction, while the commanding BS goes to the target, gonna do more testing :-P

Edit: tests consisted of crews 4 to 5 starts across the board

yes the behavior only started in 3.2, my destroyers where all fine had all weapons, if you want to test maybe have enough of Ls in a fleet and attack stations, its bound to happen at some point

Thats ashame, for ages it was bad but when i came back in 3.0 it was spot on!!! i was going round with fleets laying destruction in my path

well for me it was totally not a problem bc it only started when I had tons of ships, and even then it happened rarely

Tried a different approach, instead of directly attacking i gave a move order near the target followed by attack while in rangem again though, the destroyers would all turn away and proceed to slowly fly away, i say slowly because when not in combat they use there travel engines to fly away but seeing they was already in combat they didnt use it

Help...

Probably something simple, but I'm not seeing the new ships...no Centaur/Cyclops/Titan at either the Argon or Antigone SY's. I haven't yet looked at other races.

How are you using your destroyers? becuase when they are unassigned and i give them an order to attack they work fine, its just when they are an attack sub for another ship which is ordered to attack to run off

Edit: Scratch that, still doing it even when ordering them directly as unassigned ships

Yep, just set up 3.2 legacy patch and its FAR superior, Not only do ships go back in formation once orders are complete which 3,3 was struggling with, destroyers go and attack their commanders target

Thanks for the reply. I'm on board with the /extensions folder location, and have used quite a few mods without issues.

Currently, the only entries in the /extensions folder are ego_dlc_split and vro. With a new game using the Young Gun start, you begin in Black Hole Sun...and Argon Prime is visible on your map. Looking at the Argon SY and clicking on Buy Ships, I can see the regular L and XL ships for sale...but no Centaur/Cyclops/Titan are listed.

The VRO mod is installed and the game is running...just no new Argon ships.
