Is it possible to implement assets from another mod without combining them?
That way if the other mod gets updated I don't have to redo my mod, and I am not detracting for the other mod author.
For example, if I use a ship from another mod for the starting ship.

Re: Assets from another mod
You just should ask for permission and if OK get parts of the other mod into yours, these are then different mods that live on their own. Unless you will base your mod on some other mod via "dependencies"AaronS wrote: ↑Tue, 24. Mar 20, 11:15Is it possible to implement assets from another mod without combining them?

Re: Assets from another mod
I haven't thought too much about the type of mod I wanted to do, i was thinking on the lines of a start mod, but yes I was wondering about dependencies. In fallout 4 and Skyrim you could have a mod dependent on another one or require another. Especially if they fit well.
