[Mod] XR Ship Pack VRO
This is a submod that balances all XR Ship mod ships to VRO balance.
You need the basic XR Ship Pack and VRO mods installed.

I also suggest to play with my Weapon pack mod. It is already balanced to VRO balance:

INSTALLATION:
Download all three dependencies (from above this line) and the XR Ship Pack VRO which is available at
Steam:

and Nexus:
https://www.nexusmods.com/x4foundations/mods/420
In general:
- added internal shields to each ship
- increased hull by around 1.8-1.9x
- combat ships have 1.25x increased costs (resources as well)
- civilian ships have 1.10x increased costs (resources as well)
- freighters got increased cargo hold to match VRO cargo spaces

With normal costs the economy barely can keep up, with increased resource costs I think the economy will die too soon and can't keep up with xenon invasions

Can you clarify installation? Just drop this VRO fix into extensions, or over the already installed XR Ship Pack and overwrite?
When I look at extensions in game, both XR Ship Pack and XR Ship Pack VRO are visible. Does it matter what order they load in?

Hi, it should work when you just download all three mod and the XR Ship Pack VRO (and put them into the mods folder) and start the game. At least on my PC I can play it. I dont get any dependency error or so... ?
I have XR Ship Pack, XR Ship Pack VRO and VRO installed. Do you have Split DLC or only Vanilla?

Also are you using the Nexus version or the Steam version. On Steam at least no one commented that he has such an error so it should work for most ppl.

Costs are only increased for the XR ships of course. No other ships or station modules have increased costs.
But I play with a private mod that indeed increases costs of all station modules and even with this mod it plays well. I am not a fan of the fast developing universe.

I got few messages that they cant load save due to version differences, better update it i guess

I'm getting a message that the VRO dependency is not installed as well, even though it definitely is.

I am playing with both mods active without any problem. You sure you have the actual version of each mod installed? VRO, ShipPack and ShipPackVRO?

Same. My long-term game in progress is working fine, as is the fresh start I made a couple of hours ago. I have the latest versions of everything, as far as I'm aware.

It appears that VRO was somehow installed in inappropriate manner for me. I installed it manualy, rather than with Vortex manager and there is no more dependency conflict.
On the flip side, my 40-something hours save game is now broken and won't work.
Gain some, loose some I guess.
Edit: yes, for some reason a version of VRO that gets installed with Nexus mod manager is missing an ID in its Content file. That causes the issue.

Is there a way to disable the script that disables VRO battleships? I'd like to have them in my game as well, especially now when in latest version of VRO they were given some unique perks.

I think that's why Max removed them (since the races get unique battleship models). It would probably be better if the new battleships just got a few slots that could mount said turrets.

Yes, that is the reason why I removed them. I dont like to reuse the same model for a different role. I sure know the reason why Shuulo used them because we are very limited in the number of existing ship models, but because the XR Ship Pack brings several hands full of new models to X4, I dont see a reason to use auxilliary ships as battleship anymore.Drewgamer wrote: ↑Tue, 25. You can always extract the mod and change it to your liking (I think the files you need are ships.xml and/or shipgroups.xml). You can even make a seperate mod that readds the battleships from VRO back into the game if you want and upload it somewhere.AtilaElari wrote: ↑Tue, 25. If you REALLY want the battleships from VRO (but why when you have so many awesome ones already from XR Ship Pack ) just delete the file "shipgroups.xml" from "X4 Foundations\Extensions\XR_ShipPack_VRO\libraries".

If thats removed, how would it affect compatibility? Would there be 2 versions of some ships in the shipyards?
