Pirate Base Found !!!

Found a pirate base, cant be 100% sure its int he same place as yours as in X3 they where random and that maybe the case for you.
The way i found it was to accept a data leak mission for the pirate base, fly to it either do mission or abort it.

I spent two god damn hours looking for pirates !!!

ended up picking on the holy order

Have not looked in game, I am assuming from the previous posters that its not static ?

I found another one. It's aqtually SCA HQ.

If you check the ingame encyclopedia the location of HQ of each faction is listed there, for me it is Hewa's Twin IV Cove, topright corner, quite a bit below the the ecliptic, maybe it's the same for all of you but who knows. I found it by docking or another SCA station and asking people for a way to their representative, one of them finally told me, because it turns out I was scanning way to high.

Soi t has the rep on it, you can actually join the SCA even with the -5 rep you're stuck with and get missions to harras other factions and stuff. Cool

Actually, I'm pretty sure the pirate bases are NOT random. I have found all the bases that I've seen mentioned in various posts after looking hard enough -- some are hard to track down (note: it seems like even when the fog of war disappears it does not automatically discover all stations in that area)

I can't manage to find the SCA base in grand exhange after spending a day searching, so if the stations have specific sectors, the placement stay random -_-
And in the encyclopedia doesnt even tell me where is the HQ so i guess it only tell when you discover it first ? That is really bad i don't want to search more days...

Well, in my previous run i found one in Silent Witness XII AND one in Grand Exchange III.
But in this new game i cant find the second base at all ..

I think pirate bases might be at random locations, but i found SCA HQ in The Cove, and other people have it there as well - seems it's on a fixed position.

The SCA Pirate base is fixed in the sector (The Cove), but its actual location in The Cove is not fixed.

The other Pirate FLA (?) Pirate base in Argon space is random.

I've got one in heretic's. Is not called pirate base but has the same logo. Assume there has to be one in silent witness, but i haven't uncovered the sectors there too much.

We are talking about the free ports right ?

I am not at home, but I am pretty sure it is something like Hewa's Twin IV (The Cove) , 3 sectors East of Trinity Sanctum III [Edited the name of the sector
and here is how I found it ]

Okay After spending a lot of time searching with my 750ms corvett, i discovered the following stations:
HAT main base in Hatvah choice I (commercial station icon)
HAT free port in Silent Witness XI (2 swords cross icon like pirate)
HAT Free port in Second contact VII (2 swords icon)
HAT free port in Heretics End (2 swords icon)
SCA Pirate base in Grand Exgange III ( 2 swords icon)
SCA Pirate base in SIlent Witness XII ( 2 swords icon)
SCA Pirate base in Hewa Twins IV the Cove (equipment dock icon)

i thin if there even more i didnt searched a lot in paranids and pontoflex south sectors, and i also forgot the unclaimed sectors on the right of grand exchange, but thats what i found so far in my actual game
i had mainly focused on abandonned / peasants sectors that were unclaimed and every sectors i have seen at least 1 SCA ship or any ships of a faction that is -5 because pirates like to disguise but cant hide the relation

No, but the stations betty may inform you to be cautious because pirates have been seen in the sector XD

The PB base i found was like all the other's, Come on people it's a PB it's suppossed to be not like all the other bases, it's to regimented, to clean, the ship seller was to nice and do we miss the hello matey as you dock, come on egosoft, not everything should be the same for all stations.

maybe the pirates of the future turned into very nice people, but surely some luxury docks at pirate bases really make stuff feel way too "clean" it should all be full with the illegal stuff, drug dealers, hookers, and blackjack
