I tried flying in that direction for 20 minutes with the Wyvern, and it did not grow in apparent size, so probably just a skybox element and not reachable. Unlike the giant Asteroids in Hatikvah's Choice, which actually causes your ship to explode if you fly near them :o

Isn't everything 3d (the large structures at least)? I recall a guy riding the star in Black Hole Sun here on the forums.

Huh weird I used to fly through those. They were changed! Suspicious.

I got an answer from Lino regarding this. Technically you could fly into the sun but the hub is just a background.

I can confirm this is not a back ground element it's 135000km from the accelerator and it's huge! you can't get to close or inside. It must be a few thousand km across worth the 10 hour flight @ 5000m/s
