Path to Vengance mission vanished

Hi,
I was just ~20h into the Split start were you start on the loosing site and get the quest to destroy the fleet and kill the commander, however somehow the quest magically completed and the expeditionary fleet was not findable in Family Nhuut (?) anymore, what has happend here? I would like to destroy that fleet myself and maybe get some follow-up quests. Any help?
I advanced in the HAT plot to the point where the Dal Busta died, HQ is there and starting with research atm.

PS: just found it out, the fleet decided to go into Free Families space and get obliterated by ????? there were only 2 fighters as the Rattlesnake was at 10%, dont know what happened here, probably some reeeaaally weird OOS stuff.

In case you still haven't gone to the missions following the HAT one, especially the Split one. There are other enemies of the Partiarchy in Split Space, they took care of your revenge. At some point you heard a female Split voice saying "The Free Families never forget", that's when the mission was completed all my itself.

If this had not happened sooner, when pursuing the Split mission after HAT you could have witnessed the Rattlesnake's destruction

Was there any reward for this mission?

I have done mine by mistake, tried to cap the Rattlesnake and realized it is not possible to I have just destroyed it to realize I have finished the mission, do not recall any reward though...

There used to be a trophy named "Head of a Split" in your inventory, Supposedly worth 10 million credits(!!!) and nowhere to sell it (just your honour restored as the description said) in V3.10 it vanished...

This happened to me too. I was so focused building an empire so I could charge with a mighty fleet and the mission completed itself and now I don't have a follow up mission. Is there a way I could trigger the campaign again or my playthrough is bugged out?

It's not a bug, it was designed like this. One standalone "impossible" mission for each Split start (which is supposed to be used by experienced players) just to spice thing up. There is no reward, just like there is no reward in "Spear of the Patriarch" if one manages to get all three Argon systems in the North, needless to say that to accomplish this you'll have to be over rep 20 with ZYA to get your Rattlers to do it.

P.S. I finished Path to Vengeance by capturing 5 Dragons and assorted Chimeras and Mambas, got rep +10 with FRF so I had the Thermals, the "Fleet" kept the escorts busy and drove them away from the Rattler. Then I swop in and "ate" it with thermals from the (relatively) blind back point as it was trying either to retreat to it's escorts or waiting for it's escorts to come and resque it. Then I finished the escorts piecemeal with my "Fleet" (what was left of it anyway) covering my back.
End result? A mission complete and -26 ZYA rep... see how you get to "normal" levels after this...

Nice, I'm a lot less subtle, lol. I like to hit with a hammer. Guess I'll keep growing my empire.

PS: best way to recover rep is killing criminal traffic. Never got that low, but normal stations won't attack if you don't attack first, an each criminal raises one point.
