"Escape Plan" Free M "Fast Combat Ship Preferred" spawn?

How is the ship that spawns for you determined, by your start, the location you first communicate with the Boron, or something else?

So far I've gotten:

• Young Gun: Cerebus Vanguard, Black Hole Sun IV.
• Untested Explorer: Gorgon Vanguard, Unholy Retribution.
• Fires of Defeat: Osprey Vanguard (wut???), Heart of Acrimony II.

Your choice of "game start" doesn't determine which M class reward ship you get from the Boso Ta mission.

Instead, the ship you receive is based on the race that owns the station where you did the initial scan:

• Argon station = Cerberus
• Paranid, HOP, and Split stations = Gorgon
• Teladi stations = Osprey

Note: I'm pretty sure about the Split station scan resulting in a Gorgon (my memory ain't what it used to be!)...but it was a long time ago that I tested it. Since it took me forever to escort the idiot transport out of the Split sector, I never bothered trying it again.

I did it "The Old Fashioned Way": I Capped one in 3.x play.
Now starting afresh in 4.0 and capping a Cobra looks scary!!!!

In 3.0 the Split gave me an Osprey
