In Antigone Memorial it has only 1 90Y ore roid and 1 61Y silicon roid when there are two of both.

Apart from that its a wonderful complex calculator.
Are you running any scripts or mods? I remember there only being one of each in AM. And thanks!
Nope no scripts or mods, but like someone has already said they are next to each other so I think he is right.

Just thought I would alert you, its a great complex calculator. I jumped into the sector and sent my TLs to the shipyards only to discover 2 extra wonderful roids when I scanned the sector, that let me expand my complex.

I'm not sure which file the game is pulling from to get the duplicate asteroids, but I've updated the data files for the calculator anyways. I'll keep looking for the change - perhaps it from an post-2.5 update?

maps\x3_universe.xml in cat files 03, 05, 06, 07, 08,
also x3_universe_2.0.xml in cat file 07
So should have been the same from original X3TC v1.01 ?

Nope, I remember where they are hiding: x3_universe_debris.xml
I'll work on adding in the duplicates.

There's only one x3_universe_debris.xml = in 03.cat,
which wouldn't account for triplicates (& certainly not quintiplicates),
(would it ?)

I'm reasonably sure they come from what appears to be run-time
(new game-start) 'merging' of sequentially aged x3_universe.xml files
(at least as regards to roids).

Yep, it's the x3_universe_debris.xml file alright. At least from the one I exported using X3 Editor 2. Here's some samples of the duplicate 'roids:

Queen's Space:

Code: Select all

	<o f="4" t="1" x="2" y="0" r="2" size="22500000" m="0" p="-1">
		<o t="17" s="1" x="147943" y="3392799" z="7137714" atype="0" aamount="8" a="0" b="0" g="0"/>
Antigone Memorial:

Code: Select all

	<o t="1" x="2" y="1" r="1" size="22500000" m="0" p="-1">
		<o t="17" s="1" x="-2710997" y="-1295218" z="3119739" atype="0" aamount="90" a="0" b="0" g="0"/>
		<o t="17" s="1" x="6627436" y="-567836" z="8784696" atype="1" aamount="61" a="23567" b="4273" g="13918"/>
I've updated the data files to not only include the additional asteroids, but I've also added the ANH sectors to the drop-down list. I'm not sure if the sun percentages are correct for CEO's Wellspring & Guiding Star. I think each sector choice should be 300% sun, but those two sectors use a sun ID that I haven't dealt with yet.

Hello again.

I noticed one other small thing recently.

Elena's fortune has two 22 yield ore roids, currently the calculator thinks there is only one.

Prob just one more duplicate roids.

Anyway just thought I would say. Its a wonderful calculator. Thank you. 8)

It's there. You might need to update your browser's cache of the data files. I can't find the commands for the different browsers, but it usually involves holding down shift, control, or command while clicking the refresh button.

There's also an extra 28 yield ore asteroid in EF.

Hi, long time listener first time caller. i was wondering if you could solve a problem for me...

my Chip complexes run high on Silicon and low on energy. is there a way to calculate the difference and find out if in the long run i will need to stuff it full of power occasionally?

If you drop the amount of mined output (and how it is mined!) into the spreadsheet in this thread: http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=284285 it will tell you how many stations it can support. If you put the end product factories in it will generate a complex calculator link that will give the minimum number of stations to give continuous output subject to certain criteria.

Without more information on the complex in question I cannot unfortunately help further.

Ask and ye shall receive...

Cho's Defeat (100%)

Silicon mine L x2 Yeild 70
XL powerplant
10x Argon Chip Plants
4x Cattle ranch
4x Bakerys
2x Argon Crystal fab

here

that's my "basic" setup. However to this i added a L Teladinium plant (as Tel is also needed for the hub/goner/local facilities) this makes me short on power, however with my Silicon plants full and under used i was hoping that the power they wouldn't need as they weren't always on would be enough to tip the balance back in my favour...

if not CD has 3 medium SPPs i could occasionally raid

Um, I just discovered something. You're missing the Terran SPPXL.

The Argon Crystal Fab L appears to be missing as well.

Thank you for this great tool, it makes building a complex so much easier! The only feature it could possibly want is a list of where to buy each factory, similar to the Xadrian complex calculator. That's not an important point though.

Using this tool I've build a number of complexes. In my current game I have a huge mining complex in Antigone Memorial, and a missile / shield complex in Argon Prime.

Argon Prime Missile / Shield Complex (15 factories)

Antigone Memorial Mining Complex (20 factories)

Just finished planning a huge Teladianium Complex in Pontifex' Realm. My most ambitious complex to date!

Pontifex' Realm Taladianium Complex (64 Factories)

Excellent tool.

However, it doesn't account for C-rations or water use or ice roids in the complex tool, among a few other things.

Is the OP still updating?

Hmmm, I didn't read through the whole thread so if it's there I didn't read it. But... is there a suggested station set up for the Hub Plot? I just started this nightmare of a plot and was wondering :lol:

RL preemption, but yes, an updating is coming.

Made some minor updates, but they were a long time coming. Water Purification Plant is added, but there's not much point to it, as no player factories use water. I double-checked the Terran factories sold to/made by the player, and none of them use C-Rations either. BanzaiBlitz seems to think they do, so maybe I'm missing something.

Terran SPPs were strangely missing-I know they were they at some point, and there are there again.

And for the first time ever, I've included a *mod* related factory, the Anarkis Crystal Free SPP made by SerialKicked. I'd like to add additional mod-related factories, so post your requests, and include a link to the mod-related forum thread.

Just updated to the lastest version and wanted to say thanks, em3e3. I've used this OCCC for years and hope it's still around for Rebirth.

This is my current vision of An "I Win" Complex .

I'd like to request a bug-fix. It's not a problem really, but the sector select box doesn't account for multiple 'roids with equal yields in the aggregate yield specs. (eg: Antigone Memorial has two 90 yield ore 'roids & two 61 yield silicon 'roids but aggregate specs are 142 & 93.)
Also maybe correct the prices for CIGs.

Once again, thanks for saving me a lot of work. I'd hate to build a plex without this tool.
This is only a virtual reality.

sorry for digging this up, but I just had the exact same problem/confusion, and after looking into it this isn't actually a bug (as near as I can tell) - I have three L 64 ore mines complexed in the Unknown Sector east of Zyarth's Dominion, which produce exactly 30 ore a minute each for a total of 90, and the calculator correctly shows 5400 total an hour.

I *also* have both those Antigone mines set up (also as Ls, but not yet complexed), which I thought should produce the exact same amount - but they actually produce 45 ore every one minute and three seconds (according to the in-game info screen); this slight increase in cycle time for higher yield asteroids (?) is where I suspect the discrepancy comes from.

edit: on rereading, you're actually talking about something else, but never mind...

ditto!
