Hi everyone. I'm returning after about 7 years and am starting with X2 which I have through Steam.
I have a CLS Freight Pilot in a vulture and I want to transfer him to a Demeter. Both ships are docked in my silicon mine.
I go to command console - 4 Special - reassign pilot. I then get the Universal map and have to choose a sector, which is weird. I choose the sector I'm in and get a screen showing any undocked ships in the sector. I don't understand what's going on. According to the script explanation, I should get a list of eligible docked ships, which in this case is only the Demeter.
Am I not able to change the pilot's ship?

I can't find X2 BP manual, nor remember (been over 14 years), but I'm sure that pilots can be reassigned to new ships.
Try this:
Have both ships in space. Not docked.
You don't have to be in the sector. (Probably best not to be there.)
Run the "Reassign" in the Vulture.
You should be able to select the undocked Demeter.
Then you probably have to select a station.
If I guess right, both ships will dock and pilot will transfer.
