"Our part of the world"

Wow . . . . . talk about the mask slipping.

It's just repetition of a long-standing geo-political policy concerning the "Americas" and the US Western Hemisphere and stuff left over from the Monroe Doctrine that he's parroting. No mask-slippage at all since we've never concealed that attitude from the Russians or anyone else.

Hmmmm, I was perhaps giving them more credit that was warranted then.
I thought they were at least supposed to pretend that America was above such an imperialistic attitude.

Sorry, you've come to the wrong store for "Nations that wish to demonstrate they are above an imperialistic attitude." :)

Admittedly, however, the attitude has switched a bit since the devolution of the "Cold War." It never was "imperialistic" to begin with, but it is more of a desire to prevent instability in this hemisphere with a marked focus on encouraging democracy and while preventing/discouraging "meddling" by unfriendly powers.

These days, though, I am unsure that it's even "a thing" considering the current Administration. I really couldn't say what Trump's position is, there, considering his rhetoric and blustering, but lack of demonstrable efforts.

Space-X reports Crew Dragon capsule destroyed in fire during a test

Sad news, but better without a crew than with one.

No argument about how ridiculous it is to arrest a kid for something like that but.... it was in 2017.....

I will be interested to see how Netherlands proceeds prosecuting them without them being there. But they get kudos for doing something.

I started playing "The Outer Wilds"* a game that I discovered somewhat by accident as it didn't cross my "mainstream game news" radar at least.
I'm rather enjoying it and would highly recommend it.
It's charming as heck and manages to pull off the rare trick of throwing you in, explaining nothing and this only causing confusion.
To describe it in one sentence:

"It's game about exploring a solar system to unravel its history and mysteries"

I picked it up for a tenner on sale at epic games but it seems to be full price again now.

*not "The Outer Worlds" . . . which is game just announced at E3. It's going to get confusing as hell when these two are inevitably nominated for the same award.

If it were Parkinsons then surely with the severity of the shakes she had previously, it'd be a permanent thing - and not just 3 occurrences in public in her time in office.
Also, given their severity, you'd surely see other symptoms?
Lastly, unless whatever the reason makes her unfit for office, it's no-ones business. Be concerned for her wellbeing? Yes! But it doesn't give you a right to demand to know. Medical matters should remain private unless an individual chooses to disclose it, regardless of the office they hold - UNLESS it makes them unfit for the role (i.e. being dead would make you unfit to be president :D Suffering from a weak bladder should not - and it is therefore no-ones business. )

Iran seizes a British flagged tanker in the Gulf (allegedly the AIS shows it as being in international waters at the time before making an about turn and sailing directly north into Iranian waters).

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-49053383

The most interesting comment I've read so far was someone on Twitter saying "Oh great, we could have Bodger Johnson trying to defuse this next week".

Assume it was in the shipping lanes at the time so constrained on where it could actually be, but... why even go anywhere near the maritime border if it's possible to avoid given the circumstances. Oh well.
