Interesting New Year resolutions?

Post by The_Abyss » Wed, 31. Dec 03, 20:20

Has anyone commited to doing anything bizarre as a New Years resolution beyond the normal ones, like giving up smoking or starting to go to the gym every week?

It's the boring 'giving up smoking' for me (just like 2003, 2002 and 2001... - I have practice)

My resolutions are the usual:

Stay out of low earth orbit (unless properly equipped).
Not to get put on death row.
Not to accelerate at 33ft/s2 for more than 10 feet without retraints or breaking means.
Not to catch Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy.
Continue to metabolize O2.
And the biggie to always inhale after I exhale.

Pretty tough list but I think they are acheivable. I'm determined to make all of them this year.

Mine is to be more considerate of others and to stop insulting everyone I know.

I'm actually doing rather well so far.

I'm so very tempted to make the old "How can I insult what people don't have?" gag. But I won't. Honest :)

Mine was to excercise more and stop eating between meals - it was going great till I came home from work to find a 3 kilo cooked ham joint cooling in the kitchen

my new years resolutions are;

• start working out again (after this flu goes).
• find a decent bird, as the north west (Miiiiiiirseyside-> St.helens) is full of sl*gs under the ages of 20 and all with kids(well the majority)...kinda lack of options
• decide what i want to do with my life (turning 18 in march...getting old to soon).
• get driving, test is on the 23rd January @ 1.33pm, why not make it 1.30?!, my mate failed his yesterday because he went the wrong way at a round-a-boot (stupid dont you think??, plus the roundaboot he failed on is a real b*stard as theres a pub in the middle among other 'diversions').
• start eating healthy, i eat total crap>pizza>chips>etc.

hmmmmmmm i think that covers it :D
