So I've learned something new. All the evidence that was seized from the office and hotel room of Michael Cohen, before anyone on the prosecution side can look at it everything is looked at by what is called a taint team. The taint team is made up of independent lawyers that have no interest in the case and they determine what is privileged and what is not privileged information. They also look at the privileged information to determine whether it is evidence of a crime being committed. Once they have determined what is what any information that can be, is handed over to the prosecution. This is to protect attorney-client privilege.

So once again it shows that Trump does not have a clue what he is talking about when he said that, attorney-client privilege is dead!. Maybe he should have checked with his lawyer first before once again making an ass of himself.

Well you know Trump is lying. His mouth is moving.
The sad part is some people believe him.
Same folks that believe the moon landings were faked,
that 9-11 was a plot my the FBI and so on.

He just does not seem to get what a
jackass he comes off as to the majority
when he spouts off like that. Or tweets,
or... Well about everything he does come
to think of it.

OOH, OOH, OOH, here's another one. You know how Trump said when asked in air force one if he knew anything about the payment made to Stormy and he replied, he never knew anything about it. Well he may have just landed his Lawyer in some very deep poop. In New York a lawyer cannot make or enter into an agreement on behalf of their client without the said client knowing of the agreement, just like Trump said about the agreement between Cohen and Stormy on his behalf. If that is true, then that is grounds for disbarment in New York. So it looks like he may have just got rid of another lawyer.

It doesn't matter what Trump does, whenever he opens his mouth he sticks his foot right inside it, even if that foot is covered in poop. The man is just a walking cluster****.

Maybe.

It's an "either/or" contractual agreement. The thing is that it is obviously solely for the benefit of the "or" party, Trump. Because of that "or" he's not actually representing Trump, directly. But, he is representing something that is obviously being done on Trump's behalf...

There is a history, there, though. Trump has some kind of history with these sorts of agreements. If Cohen has been involved in them, that could expose this a bit further.

Cohen is in a tight spot. On one hand, he could be risking disbarment by knowingly entering into a contract on his client's behalf, and Trump is his client, without that client's knowledge AND, worse, due to Trump's inclusion in the contract as the "or" party, insinuating to the other signatory that Trump's interest in this contract was real. IOW - Misrepresenting the contract to the signatory on purpose. That, right there, may be grounds to nullify the contract if Trump was truly not aware of it, simply because you can't have that sort of thing going on with a legal contract. (I think if it was presented on those grounds, pushing both Cohen and Trump into a deeper corner, a judge might just throw up his hands and throw it out, but may also demand the money be returned.)

If Trump did, in fact, know the contract existed, then the only thing he's on the hook for is lying about it on camera. If he didn't know, Cohen could get disbarred and the contract thrown out, leaving a porn-star in front of a camera with a "story to tell."

And, if Trump knew, why hasn't he paid Cohen for it? Or, has he?

Given how much legal grey stuff Trump gets up to, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that he has a contract with his lawyer which includes a slush fund for paying off potential problems...

Trump would have it that we think he is under the illusion that it doesn't matter if he's stupid, he is the boss - and what he says goes..
- sort of "I am the law", as Judge Dredd might say..

- a complete lack of respect deserves no respect at all..

- was he in fact bankrupt when he took office?
- the fact that this is difficult to prove, has all along meant his candidacy ought to have been invalidated..
- the Kushner/Ivanka connection looks increasingly exposed.. :o
- the whole universe is running in BETA mode - we're working on it.. beep..!! :D

More than anything else here I worry about it all being "A house of cards." Trump seems to have one ethos. What's good for me goes. If and when the law closes in he's capable of anything and everything. When everyone else are bit parts in his play then it's likely it will be "anything goes". His rhetoric aside, the danger here is how much damage can he do when the wrong card is pulled and the house starts coming down around him. He's proven that he lashs out as pure reflex. From what I've heard he doesn't have any musical talent, so he doesn't have a fiddle to play as the city burns, but then again I can't see him not having an exit strategy either. This is going to get REAL interesting!

He certainly could. Though, I am unsure whether or not Cohen is on a retainer or anything like that. But, Cohen could have certainly been paid $500k for "Enabling a Steam Account Transaction for buying one "Funny Hat" for Mr. Trump's Team Fortress account." A wink-wink-nudge-nudge overcharge/overpayment that was really intended to cover Cohen's costs wouldn't be a bad way to hide the true purpose of that payment. In the big scheme of things, it's not that great of a sum.

You got to love Fox news (or maybe not). So while all of America's press were reporting on the Cohan F.B.I. raid, Tucker Carlson of fox news was reporting on the important news that the great black and white Chinese Panda's are aggressive and sex addicts, and that the only reason why they are an endangered species and not humans, is because they have sex 40 times in an afternoon. I kid you not, that was the important news on Fox news and he did it with a straight face.

And had Fox reported ON ANYTHING else except Ryan's departure next term (I suppose because he's a bit... Put out with where his party is headed and with the general lack of ethics that have taken over) Then Fox could kiss it's base goodbye and a good bit of it's add revenue too I'd imagine. I guess they went into safe territory lambasting CHINESE animals since Trump is ranting at the Chinese.

THOUGH you can rest assured they'll report Trump's tweet about the "Fake and Corrupt Russia investigation" he sent out today since that's suppose to go right to those that believe the "Deep State" is out to get him.

So it's being reported that the Cohen raid was partially because of the access Hollywood tape, you know the grab them by the cat recording, who would have thought that would come back to haunt Trump again.

Just in case you didn't see it Chuck Schumer did a nice speech on Trumps rant on the raid of his lawyer. It's actually pretty good and seemingly pissed Trump off even more, which is always a good thing.

Well I wonder what Trump is going to do
about getting dissed not getting an invite to the Royal Wedding?
Start ranting at England?
Or does he think that since it's not the heir
then it's not important enough for his notice?
Probably thinks since Putin's dissed then he's in good company.

Okay there are more than a few F bombs used in this interview. But OMG it is good and it shows what Republicans really think about Trump, even when defending him.

My favourite quote from it has to be:
"It's like Forrest Gump won the presidency, but an evil, really f*****g stupid Forrest Gump. He can't help himself. He's just a f*****g idiot who thinks he's winning when people are b*tching about him. He really does see the world as ratings and attention. I hate Forrest Gump. I listen to your podcast and heard you hate it too. What an overrated piece of s**t movie. Can you believe it beat the Shawshank Redemption?"
It should be Forrest Trump.

I respect that people mock Trump and laugh about him, but really, it's all just so disheartening, he's just a deranged clown in a circus thats'pretty much a freak-show anyway. Everyday one goes, surely it can't get any more embarrasing than it already is, but hey even before one can finish such a thought, Trump already tweeted some BS that makes you go dear god, this guy is capable of falling through the bottom of a bottomless pit.

And the people still on his side just plain baffle me, what do you tell your kids? Now that a fine example of a good American!, i hope you grow up to be like him!..?

Trump wrote:Never said when an attack on Syria would take place. Could be very soon or not so soon at all! In any event, the United States, under my Administration, has done a great job of ridding the region of ISIS. Where is our “Thank you America?”
He is one arrogant son of a B****. In his tiny little mind he probably thinks he personally fought them. I don't see him thanking all of those who put their lives on the line to actually oppose and fight them. To me it is probably one of the worst things he has said.

There's a likely debate going on at the "Syria" thread. I'll cut and paste my posts from there since they are about DJT:

The "Social Club" option.

Trump calls Putin (Or vise-versa) on their prvate lines. Things are degenerating and they have to do some somerhing besides the usual posturing. The plan to depopulate the country's major cities isn't progressing fast enough and forcing Russia's allies to use measures that are getting too much attention. Russia cut covert supply of standard chem agents, Assad's troops start using easily obtainable substances like bulk clorine instead. Plus their Navies are not playing nice, but simply aren't getting the bigger picture. Trump and Putin work out some incident that will allow them both to look strong, save face and got back to business as usual.  They both think there are bigger issues to worry about.

About Trump, Putin and the whole mess:

About Trump and his "Military Advisors";

From what I've been getting from friends in D.C. Trump doesn't "get advice". He tells people what he's going to do or what they are going to do, if they are lucky. Usually they have absolutely no clue until it's either an order on their desk, tweeted to the entire world, or after the general officers drag back from an "emergency meeting" with their asses handed to them if they dare obect to anything. One commented that Trump has a low opinion of the Pentigon because they "Dont know how the game is played."  Meaning they want to play by the rulebook. The new rule is, what Trump says goes. So the Joint Chiefs aren't seeing that much of the inside of the White House unless Trump needs a photo op with them.

I wish I didn't end up being such a shoulder to cry on for friends, old co-workers, subordinates and superiors now that they are at an age where they should be reaching their pinnacles. I suppose now I was very fortunate to go through my "Puzzle Palace" tours in the days of Reagan and the first George Bush.

Those days are long gone it seems and now most of the comments are summed up in, "The lunitics have taken over the asylum." The bottom line? Nobody in at the top listens to ANYBODY exept Trump. Because Trump listens to NOBODY.

Pretty quiet day, everyone must have been blown away with Syria bombing.

So it turns out that Cohen wasn't/isn't really a lawyer or so they are saying, as he only had one client/customer and never actually practice law, you can guess who this client was. This has got all of Trumps allies not to mention Trump extremely worried, as if Cohen is not regarded as being a lawyer there is no attorney client privilege. Now when the F.B.I. raided his office and other places they have seized potently 1 million files dating back some 30 years, it also turns out Cohen recorded conversation with his only client. Not just that Trump was told not to get in touch with Cohen so what did Trump do, he phoned him which has made matters even worse.

They are now saying that the Mueller case is peanuts compared to the F.B.I. case against his so called lawyer, that if anything is going to take Trump down, it's Cohen.

The Judge in the Cohen case is also pissed as Cohen's lawyers could not answer her questions because Cohen kept well away from the court when his case was being discussed. His lawyers have now been told that they have to turn up at 2pm Monday with Cohen in tow and they better answer her questions. More than a few are expecting Cohen to plead the fifth to a lot of those questions, which is not going to really help him or his client in any way.

I wouldn't like to be Trump right now, not that I ever have done. But it's not looking good for him or his future.
