The entire forum has been upgraded to a new version--I assume they weren't able to transfer the game badges over to the new system.

They'll be back; the data is all still there. We've just had other things that were more important to deal with.

I was wondering about these changes as well.
So I get it - be patient.
But in the meantime.... I like to use the uplink feature and there used to a link to my stats in the database from my profile page.
Is there any other way I can easily link to or find my position on the rankings?
Having to find it by going through the database one page at a time is very frustrating.

Does your browser have history? At least Firefox remembers/suggests url's when I start typing www.egosoft.com/games
The ones you have used with old "medals" probably contain 'user=uid'
Of course, if ranking has changed, you will be off (but close?)

Is it really the rankings that you need, or the raw data values? The data you can read without uploading anything. The file is compressed XML, IIRC.

Getting your ranking in each stat must be a database query of some sort and someone has to sort for it. I'd imagine it is deemed unnecessary load for time being. The dust will settle. Eventually.

You did ask where your list of games is, didn't you? It's in the GR.

I'll try the suggestions you made
About the registration - I found it. Yesterday the forum was almost unusable so maybe that is why I could not find it.
I guess the success of X4 (congrats to all at Egosoft) has put a lot of stress on the the new forums and servers

Just to fill you in jlehtone and for the benefit of others who might have a similar question
If you go to the rankings database and find your own record you will see at the top right [Link to this page]
If you copy the link and save it in notebook or wherever suits it will bring you back to the specific page your stats are on - very handy
So that solves that issue for me
I know it's kinda silly but it adds a little interest and satisfaction to see your rank gradually rise as you build your little empire

In the past days I have uploaded a couple of player stats files to the Reunion rankings database
But the rankings are not updating
My position is still shown as it was when I uploaded a file back in April of this year

What I would like to know is are the rankings working or not?
I mean are they updating to show new uplinked data or not?
I dont want to be wasting my time with them if they are not working
The reasons I play unmodded is to use the rankings database; it's just a way of tracking my own personal progress in the game.
I play the trading and building game; not so much the combat.

I notice there is no uplink feature for Rebirth or X4
Does this mean the rankings database is being discontinued?

Just be straight with me please guys; let me know the score

Recently the forum hardware was updated. I could imagine that this has something to do with the rankings not being updated correctly. Will ask on Monday.

There was always a delay in updating; usually not more than a few hours iirc
But I checked again today and it's still not updating; so it's a couple of days now
Anyhow I do appreciate you inquiring
I would be a shame to lose the rankings feature
